Just FYI, in the latest PartsExpress catalog (hard copy), there are various AC and DC wall warts be offered for between 49 cents and $2.95. A few of them look like they would be useful for powering pedal boards. I haven't been able to find these on the website, but I'm sure that they are there somewhere...

Yeah, I bought a BUNCH of those.... I use 'em for a lot of different things... They're definately a good buy...

Are they pretty clean... no noise issues? I bought one from Rat Shack for almost $15 and I cant even use it its so noisy.

It's real easy to fix a noisy wall wart using Anderton's "Hum Buster" circuit - all you need is a 1000uF cap and a 100 ohm resistor. I've used it before, it works great...  8)

Cool, thanks for the tip!

If you'd be so kind to take the time, Paul, could you provide part #'s for the tree-hugging hippies amongst us, who'd rather spend energy in electricty?

I'll look it up when I get home tonight.

Part# 129-064, 9VDC 150mA, 70 cents
Part# 129-061, 9VDC 300mA, 70 cents
Part# 129-060, 12VDC 200mA, 95 cents
Part# 120-387, 12VDC 300mA, 98 cents
Part# 129-330, 12VDC 800mA, $2.95

You could use those 12VDC ones with a voltage regulator...

Yeah, an inductor is also a good way to go.

El Caballo

Just to make sure people notice: they're center positive, 2.5mm center diameter, and unregulated, so they don't substitute for a Boss/Digitech/Godlyke PSU on your regular pedals.

Good parts for building your own stuff, though.

Cabezahead

Nice find.

Are there any 3-4 volt ones?  Or are they only 9 or 12?

Thanks for pointing that out, I did notice that but didn't think to mention it. Anyhow, it's nothing a pair of wire strippers and a soldering iron can't fix!
