Muff Booster using a 2n2222A. Has a nice light responsive overdrive effect and boosts really well. The white specks are flash artifacts.

Well I'm not too happy about using some animals skin but I'm not really sure where this skin came from beyond ebay. I'd like to think that it was obtained without needlessly killing the snake.

When you make expression pedals for stompboxes like that, how do you keep the wiring length to minimal?
... the wires from the expression pot go back into the stompbox, right?

pi22seven

I'm a member of PETA and I have no probs with that snake pedal. In fact I think it kicks all kinds of butt!

Gotta go write the People Eating Tasty Animals newsletter now.

Hi.
Here's my latest build. It's the Sweet feets distortion. I've built it with the mod from this topic from Stephens build. http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=48150.0

This thread continues to be an inspiration for me. Lots of folks doing fanstastic and creative things. Here's my contribution for the week, the Four Knob Rat with various clipping options.

Here's the obligatory "How'd you do that graphic?" - question.

So. . . how'd you do that graphic?

That's right. You just wire up the pot lugs from the expression pedal to the place where the wires for the replaced pot would normally go. In a longer instance (if the stompbox and expression pedal were a long ways away), you'd use stereo jacks (mono, if the pot was wired as a voltage divider rather than a series resistor) and a cable in place of the wires.

I'd imagine since that the expression pedal and pedal look attached to the same board, he just ran wires...although knowing basicaudio and the way he makes everything pretty, maybe he took a thick wood washer and ran the through that or something...

Inkjet glossy sticker paper. Design it, print it out, let it dry, trim it to fit and stick it on. I usually clearcoat it with 3-4 coats of gloss polyurethane to finish it up.
