looks like he has 4 loops and maybe one switch that bypasses all (red led on the end).  i might be wrong.

either way, i bet he did something like this (i drew this the other day by hand and scanned it):

acheiving the bypass all is pretty easy.  maybe i'll add that soon.

Could it be that the DC jack is not isolated from the enclosure?
Your DC jack looks like the all metal type although I could be wrong as some metal ones are isolated.

It's this jack if that helps any.

EDIT: I no expert, but I think that actually might be the problem.

EDIT#2: You sir are my hero. That was the problem. I screwed everything in but the DC jack, and made sure it didn't touch the pot, and HUZZAH! It works!

Thank you soo much man, you have no idea how frustrated I was getting with this thing.

Thanks but no biggie. After hanging out here for a couple of years I've read a bunch of replys like this.
Just good basic stompbox building information that at one time all have learned.
My favorite one is "it didn't work until I noticed I forgot to put the IC/Transistors in, then it worked fine!"

I just noticed your using what appears to be a dog bowl. COOL
Many possible naming opportunities there.

Some artwork that would suit it (if it is indeed a dog bowl) at, believe it or not, yoohoo.com,

Check out the two headed dog about half way down, "double fudge".
http://www.drinkyoo-hoo.com/freebies/wallpaper.html
Lots of other box art potential too.
I'll be using this on a box too. After a short stop in a painting program.
They posted it, the artists got payed, who drinks YooHoo anyway.

For anymore help on your project, try starting a new topic with a focused subject line.
This will help the next dog bowl makin effects builder find these posts.

Congradulations on your build. How about posting a review of the sound/build and where you sourced parts.

LOL, it does look like a dog bowl doesn't it. It's not though, it was an old stove top pot I hadlaying around. I just wanted something that was really really solid, and believe you me, this thing is rock solid. I'm not sure if I want to paint it, or etch it, etching looks really cool, but painting would be easier for me (since I've never etched anything before). I have a dremel and tons of paint already.... I'm just trying to make up my mind. Whatever I do though, I want to call it "THE BIG O" so that's either going to be painted on or etched... I'm thinking etched would look cooler, and would look great with the machined aluminum knobs I have. But I'm starting to like the idea of calling it "THE DOG BOWL" has a nice ring to it. I'll be putting that off for a month or so because I've got a lot of other crap I pushed aside (not all guitar related) because this pedal got me all excited.

Thanks a lot for your help man, really appreciate it.

Here's a recent build called "The Pong". It's a whacked fuzz face that does oscillation, tremolo, and a host of bizzare sounds. The switch on the left is a momentary kill switch. This pedal is awesome with delay. Sadly, it went to the other guitar player in my band :(

bean

There's a brief soundsample on the link in my sig. I think it was Whammy Pedal-Pong-DL4. Not much, but you get the idea.

I dig it, bean. Isn't a fuzz factory essentially a fuzz face with a bunch of pots stuck in (with tweaks/additions/removals, of course)?

bean

It's not a fuzz factory clone, if that's what you mean. I don't know what a FF even looks like inside. It is an original design I came from starting from one of torchy's fuzz face layouts and then experimenting with pot values and hooking them up at different points. The sag knob is definitely a feature used in the fuzz factory (a 5k lin pot to change the voltage to the circuit, as Zach has illuminated himself), but mine actually does some tremolo effects when you hook up the power supply. It behaves differently whether you are using a battery or PS.

Finally boxed up my Big Muff and finally tried my hand at labelling one of these boxes

Just printed it out on regular office paper, glued it on and clear coated it with acrylic lacque

So I got my VB-2 boxed. Here's how it turned out.

disto

Seljer i wondered why there were all these numbers on it then hit hit me 3.14 or Pi, i love it genius

bean looks cool, sounds cool to only it took me a while i wondered what the slight buzz sounds was check to see if i still had a cd playing then realised no its just a very quiet sample.

Pushtone yep i can imagine the missing IC happens alot.

PS i really must try the printed paper then clear coat, the effect seems really good.

This is my second build, buzzbox with big muff tone control:-

Zeta, I love it! What method did you use for the box art?

It's a simple waterslide decal.
