Nice use of these knobs, and I just love everything you've done with the colours on this thing, even the white washers are kinda ok on this,

reminds me of a milton bradley game or something.

@ elenore19:  The guts are fine.  If it doesn't oscillate, then it's fine.  The enclosure is like the size of Oprah though...

@ ShortScaleMike:  I like that thing inside and out.  And what is a Saltbooster?  I'm more interested in how you came up with that name.   ;D

haha http://www.madebymike.co.uk/saltbooster.shtml

It's my mildly modified LPB-1 boost pedal, the name is explained in this interview I gave a while back

http://www.dirtbox.net/features/interviews/1214/mike-livesley-madebymike/

Thanks for sharing all of that.  I'm glad to see a builder who's not afraid to actually sell some pedals on perfboard.  I'm sure you do fine work.

^ Thats a great idea :)

Thanks!  It's something I've been wanting to do for a long time, but I haven't needed to order parts in a while so I haven't been able to justify shipping costs from Mouser just to get the transformer I needed for it.  But the moment came a couple weeks ago when I did some repair work for a buddy and tacked it on to that purchase order.   :icon_lol:

The 1/8" input is so I can plug in an ipod and run pre-recorded clean guitar riffs and rhythm tracks through it to test and tweak circuits.

You stole my idea before I could tell anybody about it, shame on you.

sorry....  :icon_redface:   now it's up to you to improve it and make it even more realistic.   ;)

You got your prize, broken legs!

As I said... we should make it page 833 for the LM833, that's actually enough time... we'd need an actual prize though...

I'm looking forward to the SAD1024th Page, PT2399th & The MN3005th Page  :icon_mrgreen:

Some more builds for friends and band members.

Version 2 of the Phat & Clip switch Tubescreamer + MosFet Boost pedal with different paint job

BB Preamp clone pedal - basically TS9 circuit but with extra opamp chip and active treble/bass knobs - very sweet :)

An old one - A/B + X/Y passive switching pedal - used for 2 different guitar inputs split to either amp or tuner.

This is my first build. It's a Bass Fuzz deluxe. with some modifications that I found on the web.
The switch is a to switch between 2 diodes. I had a bit of trouble with the ^&*!# water decal but it looks ok now!

Thanks dude!
They're available in the uk. Bitsbox hasn't got them but I got these enclosures from gapco.co.uk. They're £4.00 and free postage but you have to order at least £10.00. (Sounds like a flipping commercial  :icon_biggrin:)

Alas poor Yorick, I knew him well  (I'm sure you have heard this as much as I have :D)

Very nice finish! How did you curve the letters like that?

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

Thanks man! I made a layout in Google sketchup for the positions of all the knobs and did the artwork in photoshop.

Dragonfly

Some of you know that I don't solder much any more... it brings on migraines for me, and quite obviously, I don't enjoy that.

BUT.... it's Christmastime, and I do like to "make" gifts for people... so, with that in mind, I dosed up on meds and fired up the soldering iron....

This one is an original circuit I just kinda came up with one night...I call it the "Nerve Generator".

NERVE GENERATOR MP3  (please excuse the lousy quality of the sound clip)

I can't pay too much attention to making everything look nice....takes too much time, and I'm trying to minimize my time with the iron on... but it turned out OK I guess.

I still have another couple pedals to build, but they'll have to wait for a day or two.

Anyway, I guess this old man can still make toys that make noise.

:)

Awww, Dragonfly! What a wonderful christmas miracle. :D

StereoKills

Great fuzz sound, nice low end and a slight fizzle on the top. I like it!
