The layout was printed on AVERY transparent sticker and clearcoated many time

That is SICK.  Insane!

Irony:  A build called "Too Many Knobs" that has none.  Nice work!  Well done!

Regarding the Avery sticker paper, where are you guys finding it?  All the stuff I've found is opague.  I want transparency clear!  It says it's clear, then you peel it back and it's anything but.

I send my layout to a copy store and they did it for me. I remember that when I looked at the transparency, It was not that clear (it was frosty). I tried it anyway because this is my prototype (I plan on enlarging the multifx with phaser, flanger double delay taptempo stuff...). In the end when I stick it on the multifx, it was still frosty whitish looking but after the clearcoating (Krylon stuff) the frosty disappear.  I think that the mm or so of clearcoat change how light is diffracted and it somehow filtered out the frosty color. It even gave a darker look compare to the edge of the pedal where there was no sticker.

I've had good results with this stuff and their 'UV laminate spray' for clear labels on a lighter color pedal.

This is also pretty cool for a silvery holographic look:

And this works well if you're doing a more graphical design on a white background (it also works fine without an overspray if you're really lazy like me):

Thanks, man.  I've been using spray cans by this company, Montana.  Great but expensive paint.

montana is excellent.  been using that paint for a few years now!

Small Bear sells adhesive transparency stock. Http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=1069

I've had mixed results using it for graphics (he sells it for PCB making). Sometimes the adhesive reflects a bit unevenly, and sometimes the surface reflects light a little funny, but both problems are mitigated somewhat by clearcoating. Give it a shot with a heavy clearcoat and it might do what you want. Just avoid air bubbles (obvious, but tricky  :icon_confused:).
