Seeing neat wiring like this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside  ;D

Crowella

I've just bought a massive roll of solid core after seeing that wiring :) That's a phenominal job both inside and out.

Bit late for this guy though, a bit of a sketchy etch and still torn up whether to add a LED or not to it.

Nice etch/graphic/pic for that hogs foot.

Thanks Frances. I managed to hide most of the noisy lines in the channel so you can't actually see the wires going all over the place. Still, it's no John Lyons (:

It's an acid etch. I used spray paint as the resist and used the laser to make the negative. Then I even used it after the engraving to engrave the positive so that I didn't sand out all the black in the big leaf areas.

I found a decent tutorial to convert photos to line art in photoshop, so that seems to work well for acid etching.

Okay, it's a bit ugly with those knobs and artwork but I'm happy with the construction (and sound!).

Ah, just two more things.

1. Please note that mine is bigger than Robs.
2. I still don't understand why I'm posting it here.

ugly is definitely NOT the word i would have chosen to describe this!!
i kind of like the way the bigger knobs (seem to) go over the edge of the enclosure.
i only hope my next builds will look a little like this (yeah... hope...  :icon_rolleyes:)

wether you believe me or not it was intentional, i swear! it's only a mm or two, so that you can use your foot on the side of the enclosure to sweep the speed like a leslie. i lay everything out on the computer from the PCB, enclosure and hardware to see how it all matches up inside first. i have a library full of all my common components that i can drag and drop.

haha i believe you! i was just not sure if it was the photo angle, or really a little over. i wanted to try to do this from the inside of the enclosure, like the volume knobs on them old walkmans, but i don't have the tools to do such cuts in metal boxes, so i can't try, but i will!!
i'm PMing you for a couple questions...

You can never have enough desk drawer fuzzes, two silicon fuzz faces with a single 10K bias knob, larger one has input cap blend.  Went a little crazy with the dremel.
