I've seen a lot of guys use double stick tape to hold their PCB's down. Does that really stay long term? I'd think after an extended amount of time that the adhesive would wear out from being jumbled around on a pedal board.

Nope. I use serious industrial double sided adhesive foam. I've had 3 year old pedals coming back in for mods that are solid as a rock.

I'm sorry, but that looks so gay!  :icon_lol:

And? Why would you need to apologise. There is nothing wrong with being gay.

GRIMMROBE! Hell yeah! Awesome graphic choice Mike!

Cheers but it's for a customer so his choice - I like it though!

Hey, guys, excellent builds...
John, I loved those boxes, I've been dreaming about doing it on an etched box...

Here's my latest, an FSH1 from Tonepad. Thanks to all the guys here for the tips about the ticking and other troubles with this build, it's an amazing pedal. And of course many thanks to Francisco Peña for the board.

Here's a little demo.

Regards,
Fernando.-

nice one john!, i have been looking into cutting/laser cutting, images and filling them with epoxy then sanding, then lighting. the moon is way simpler and looks great. thought more people on here would be messing with alternative lighting... hmmm.

I was counting diodes and calculating that first thing when I saw the pic, but then I did a facepalm... no battery clip. Probably about the same as a delay pedal or 2, lol.
Give a man Fuzz, and he'll jam for a day... teach a man how to make a Fuzz and he'll never jam again!

It looks to me like some of the LEDs in there are wired in series, but if you really wanted to save current you could internally generate a high voltage (maybe 50V or so) and run them all in series.

Regardless it looks awesome!

kurtlives

Looks great!

Those high brightness waterclear LEDs don't draw much current compared to diffused LEDs, a few mAs (if that).

Was it made for a rock "star"?

Hello,

Here are my two isp decimator clone, thanx Galego for the layout. On the left side are the Led's blue (Mesa Rectifier) and on the right side are the Led's red (Engl powerball) :icon_twisted:. It works very fine, a great pedal! The Led's can be switched, from beam to dot.

Greetings
Urs

Very nice  :icon_mrgreen: I think this is the first box ever in this thread with a led volume indicator. Of course a volume indicator thats really an indicator not just an "always on" circle.

Edit: I know it's not a "Volume" Indicator but this is called VU-Meter so I think you know what I mean.
