Güero, do you tin the PCBs with some sort chemical tinning thingie (like Tinnit) before spray painting on the red "mask"?

Ibanez TS7 clone without the electronic switch ...TBP.

Wow, first 7 series I've seen!  Did you use the schem that's available on the net (in other words, is that schematic accurate)?

Yep!

The schemo is OK!
The Hot mode is some kind of mod that circles in the internet.
I remove only the electronic switch and I'm using the input and output buffers like the original ( 2SC1815 ) and JRC4558.

This is a clear coat stained red, is avaliable in local electronic stores in my neighborhood

Nope. It's from a brazilian supplier. Pretty simple , PCB clear coat stained with red paint, but I don't know how is done.

Aah. Very cool. My local shop carries MG... I was eyeballing the black and red, but the red is more towards the "rust" than bright. I dig the color yours comes out. Nice and even coloring, and bright.

No, no, no. I meant, do you tin the copper traces before you paint?

Another lm386 amp in a stompbox.  I decided to learn how to use Eagle, and I wanted to try getting a few boards made by BatchPCB. In retrospect, I would do a few things differently but I am generally happy with how it came out.

This is a jfet buffer into a lm386. No volume or tone control (use your guitar controls I say). The lm386 is the low gain set up (pins 1 and 8 open). I prefer this way because it still sounds good with a distortion pedal in front of it.

So...
I was thinking!
Will there be anything special for page 1000 :o

deadastronaut

^ yeah i thought that too...

maybe we could run a competition, and the winner gets a signed picture of tasos.

i wouldn't enter it though!... ;D

Runner up gets two signed photos of Tasos.

Third place gets two weeks in Hawaii with deadastronaut.

How long does the 9V last in there?

The runoffgroove Ruby that I built draws up to 200mA depending on pot settings!  :icon_eek:

The circuit idles at about 10mA, but most of that is going to the LED. If I put in a signal source, at low volumes it is drawing about 40mA, but as I crank it up until it distorts loudly the current draw peaks at about 140mA.

I found a site http://www.techlib.com/reference/batteries.html which gives a 9 volt alkaline battery capacity as 500mAh

So I would guess worst case  of 3 hours, but that would be with continual sound and distortion. I would think regular living room volume a fresh battery would last 10 to 20 hours.

WOW! Nice speaker hole drilling, electrosonic!!!

electrosonic

I am a complete hack at Illustrator, but I messed around with the polar grid tool and made a drilling template which I stuck on the enclosure with double sided tape.

Andrew.

Like this -

I purposely left the center of the speaker blocked, kind of like a mini "beam blocker" to cut out some high end.  I just checked - on the Weber speaker site it is called a "high frequency diffuser" which sounds much cooler.
