My first boxed up circuit in quite a while. Taylor's echo base pcb. Took me forever to get everything in place and working, so the guts are not so pretty, but it all works! Awesome pedal.

Great job!

Great looking Echo Base but I gotta ask.....

What's the deal with the one white washer? Looks kinda odd with just one.

Helpful suggestion: Either lose the white washer or add one to the "DUB" stomp  ;)

Thanks guys!!! :icon_redface:
In spite of good exterior design, guts are REALLY, REALLY TERRIBLE!)))

Pictures or it didn't happen  :icon_evil:

;D

NOOoooo!!! it will be a huge shame!!!

Instead, I'll show you my first work with a small enclosure: Colorsound one knob fuzz

I really like this etch, well done. Is that the Led Zeppelin font you used ?
I really must start etching again, only had one or two good ones and multiple failures  :(

In fact, don't remember name of the font.. Actually i choose right font from thousands just by leafing through (i hope me english is obtainable :icon_mrgreen:) both with all design.

You REALLY MUST strat etching again, because it is not so hard) Just accuracy and patience. Good luck!! ;)

Rob will hate you for this... :icon_mrgreen:
"NOT FLAMMABLE" is not a challenge

syndromet

Rangemaster with switchable input cap. First try at etching with pnp blue. Way to shallow etch, so the next ones will be deeper.

Finished my first two builds so thought I'd join the club and post some photos.  Nothing too complicated but I've caught the bug now! Guts are ugly as hell.

Haha, I knew someone would bring that up. It's a bit of a necessary evil. I usually avoid the white washer, but I was having some issues with the graphic and the washer actually helps it look cleaner. I can live with the asymmetry.

The chattering teeth and comma make a semicolon, which is the logo for my "brand" semicolonoscopy.

^^ Nice etch, Bean. :) The name made me chuckle.

Here's a circuit that's fairly boring to folks on this site, jimmybjj's layout on one of his prototype boards (he's corrected some of the difficult aspects for a group buy board).

This gave me an excuse to really work out my 1590A enclosing better, so I did a build report and tutorial on Madbean for boxing up larger circuits like this in a 1590A: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=6406.0

@ Jon
You must have a great 3d mind to be able to do so many 1590a builds. I did the phase 90 and i never want to do it again. I might try the little angel chorus with the other box i have but i dont have the 1590a talent you have.

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

I think your P90 build was more difficult than what I just boxed. You really jumped in the deep end.

I think if you picked up one of the smaller boards from Brian, it would be a more enjoyable build for getting your feet wet.

But I pretty much have an obsession for small things. When I was little I made really tiny dinosaurs out of clay. It's probably some sort of complex, not talent. :)

p.s. Thanks for the kind words. :)

These:

Pretty much the absolute best for tight spots.

Madbean lists "a few" other useful small parts here :): http://madbeanpedals.com/downloads/BabyBoardGuide.pdf
I'll add that I get my monolithic ceramic caps and Tants from Tayda. Panasonic caps and such from Smallbear. Mini electros and all the 1/8W resistor values you could ever want from Mouser.

RAT clone, this pedal I've built about 18 years ago, it was my first cloned pedal, enclosure was cut and bent from aluminium sheet. Now I have redone the pcb and all parts are new, no mods.

I love this!  the mustard yellow looks fantastic.  Great work.

What kind of enclosure is that?
