A duel distortion I dubbed The CrunchQueen. A Mayqueen with clipping(3mm red leds and 1n34a's) and output cap(.1uf and .2uf) options.
And a Crunchbox. It's a non-presence trim version. Not sure where it would go anyway. I wouldn't mind having it 'cause this thing gets pretty woofy with the tone lower than about 75%.

Another Ross Compressor for the page, started this a few years back and finally finished yesterday. Totally reworked the Tonepad Layout to accomodate Goefex Polarity protection (IRF9024), Hammer Attack Mod, caps i like to use, pads for a can-type 3080 i have but didn't use etc. etc...

Used stencils for the blue painting then permanent marker (not Sharpies) for the arrow outlines. Tried three times, both inkjet and laser, to apply a full-face decal to the top for the black detailing and due to mainly, applicater incompetence, failed everytime. Had been playing around with wet toner transfer and once i figured out how to register the art to the top's layout, it worked great the first attempt.

That's another graphic that I found too!  I was going to use it for an Orange Squeezer (of course), but ended up using this instead:

cool     A tip for waterslide: if using clear waterslides, use a white surface. Although the way you do it has a certain awesomeness.

@Mike: now this one definitely needed a lighter background!  A bit constrained by having only a B/W laser to hand...  Need to go and buy lighter colour paints!


It's briggs' "E11even" from the other forum.  BTW, someone remind me from time to time NOT to go building anything into a 1590A with more than ONE knob.  What the h*ll was I thinking of...?

Hello Alain,

At it's most basic all you are doing is taking a toner image, laser copy of photocopy of your artwork  on plain cheap paper and gluing it image side down to your enclosure with some sort of acrylic medium.

1.For the compressor i mirrored the image, and glued it to the enclosure with an acrylic medium called GAC 200, made by Golden and easy to locate. Generously and evenly spread the GAC on the top of the enclosure, placed the art face down down on the enclosure and used a small brayer (roller) to smooth the image down and squeeze out excess medium. Cleaned up the squeeze-out before it hardened.

2. Left it overnight to dry then next day lightly/briefly sanded the back of the image to break the paper down a bit then sprayed the paper with water till it was soggy. Now just rub the paper off with your finger, you reach a point where no more paper wants to come off, don't get overly aggressive,  let it dry again, resoak, rub, takes a few cycles to remove all the paper fibre but with patience it does all come off, unlike a heat toner transfer where paper fibre always stays imbedded in the toner, with this method all the paper will eventually release.

I've played with this on the back face of plexiglass as well as messed with doing the silkscreen layer on PCB's and think it works great. The toughest part is you have to place the image blind, unlike a decal which you can see through to ensure it's going exactly where you want, there's nothing to see, If you need precise positioning you have to figure out a means to register your art and the surface receiving the art. 





This pedal was my first attempts/experiments, just slap the transfers on haphazardly to see how things worked.

After reading about this method of toner transfer in a library book i had, google found me lots of further info, youtube is especially helpful, Toner transfer with acrylic medium.

Great work Roberto! I came across your tutorial months ago and I never got around to making one. Personally I don't like the hm-2, but my buddy wants one. I think I had problems downloading the BOM.

Great builds everyone!  

Here is my first finished build since April... its been a long time between drinks!!!  
Work and a young family doesn't allow me to spend as much time as I would like on this stuff.  
But I've just had a week off which allowed me to debug and box this Phase 90 from tonepad. And complete a Meat Head in a 1950a which I'll post pics of once a knob arrives.

I didn't plan for the DC jack when I drilled this 12 months ago. lol So the board is at a funny angle.
But it sounds very nice apart from a slight volume drop when engaged. I'm hoping I can live with it as now its in the box I don't want to pull it out to change the output resistor.
