This is called the double take. I built it for my guitar player, he chose the graphics. Not my choice, but it looks nice.

a fuzz using the rare CK722. it's the first one i've found that works so musically:

First build of 2014, it's a transparent overdrive. The board was a gift due to a postage issue with another order.
Enclosure etched with NaOH.

Darron. Nice point to point work. Are those diodes between the foot switch and the indicator? Please explain.

thanks :)

yeah, it's a 6v2 backwards zener which then runs through a 220r resistor:

Darron. What does the diode do that the resistor doesn't do on it's own?

it drops out 6.2 volts, so there's less current draw. mainly though, working with the 6.2v drop plus the forward voltage drop out of the LED it will work as a dying battery indicator. once the battery goes from 9.x volts down to 8v the led will barely be visible but the circuit will still be going. good indicator to change the battery :)

with just the resistor the LED would only look a slight bit dimmer when the circuit starts running at 8v.

Bwaaahahahaha! I love it! Thanks for the laugh folks. It's nice to learn different, non-American, jargon for Big Jim and the Twins. Also, all of your pedal work is an inspiration. It keeps me going further and further in mine. Thanks to you all.

Shaun Klinger just sent me this photo of a finished enclosure we did last week. Same batch as the last post with chrome artwork:
Edit: I don't know what's in it! Don't ask lol.
