QuoteI Allways use Etching but never found a god way or materials to paint the Etching

Oil paint markers make doing multi-color etching a lot easier. Holds up well underneath clear coatings, too.

Got any sound clips of the JCM drive? Is it just based on the JCM 800?

Deadastronaut's Abductor Delay.

I had most of the graphics done before he named it, hence the different name. It's a great, clean sounding delay. You may notice a scuff mark on the epoxy. I accidentally let go of the enclosure while I was using a Dremel to cut a pot shaft and it hit the blade. Grrr!  I'm experimenting with repairing it by brushing a small amount of epoxy over the wound.

The LEDs are glued underneath and shine though the photo paper on top.

Edit: Credit to Salvador Dali, who's masterpiece I bastardized for my own personal use. ;)

Thanks Mike and Rob. Yeah, those white washers look better on the inside than the outside. ;)

John - great job.  What footswitch is that?  It looks like it has a very short throw.

I asked my wife, and she thought it should be a Tele in a guillotine because that's where my head would be if I built another stompbox right now. ;)

^  Love the painted rocker switches.  Are they illuminated internally or just transparent plastic?

No they are in solid black plastic that i've scavenged from an old 80's box. I've glued the printed label and i've put some epoxy resin over them.
Transparent one would have been really cool though!  :icon_wink:

Thanks! Nice delay BTW! I wanted to do the same thing on the pots and stomp as for this one:

Yeah, decorating knobs and switches is extra work, but it looks good!

nice job y'all, dig the painted switches, and the sub-graphic LEDs. LEDs under something semi-opaque look so much nicer. I've started putting them in clear shaft pots with white knobs, so they illuminate the knob instead of obliterate my retinas.

Hi everyone
This is my latest project I build for a Irish studio. I must made these devices for a shortest time - from a sketch to finished device - 6 days ;)
