And, top to bottom:
Madbean Pork Barrel (CE2 Chorus with Tonepad mods)
Madbean Current Lover (9V electric mistress - I added a CV input mod, in parallel w/ LFO, using a vactrol)
Tim Escobedo Lofo Mofo, my first ever perf project.

Those washers look nice.

A LLama. Favortite drive I think. I dropped something on it while painting and think it looks right.

BSIAB II. It's ugly. Ugh I regret the colors now but maybe It'll sell off. Or I'll get motivated to strip it off.

electrosonic

Two tools -

First up a current source, switchable  1uA / 10uA / 100uA / 4.7mA / 10mA

Useful to characterize vactrols  or to check if your Ge diodes are legit.

Not super accurate but good enough for my purposes.

A cheap "digital" resistor substitution box. It uses four double ganged linear pots. I use my DMM to read the value of one set, while using the other in circuit. Under ten dollars in parts and pretty useful.

Not my best etches this time

Andrew.

Focalized - Nice work. Where did you get the coloured perf board?

Andrew - I like the etches. Did you apply the mask on unsanded boxes to get the look?

I use press n peel and electroetch with Copper sulphate.

I tape off the sides and float the enclosure in the copper sulphate, I have a metal grid that sits in the bottom of the solution and is attached to the negative lead of a current limited power supply and the enclosure is connected to positive. I run about 2 amps through the solution for a few minutes. Maybe 5 to 8 minutes - I am still experimenting with the time and using AC current first (to etch deeper) and DC to finish (to darken the etch).

Not perfect but no painting required.

Andrew.

Here's another example - from last year

The green is just pcb green board  from Velleman.

Some I just paint to amuse myself.

Looks great. Did you sand the edges of the knobs to get that look? Love it.

peterg

Thanks Tristan
The knobs are as I bought them. They are the third set downh

Peter are you shopping in person at A1 or having them ship, not so easy for me to get there and was curious about their shipping charges. They do do seem to have a lot a very useful products at great prices, eg. best prices around for Hammond transformers.

Thanks,
dave

Found some junk hardware in my dad's garage I thought could make use of.

A Jumbo Tonebender. Sounds messy I guess. I figured it fit the look. Looking for something to cover the hole in the bottom. Or something that could come out from inside. Wires maybe.

peterg

Focalized. Very cool! Looks like it was built in the 1950s!

Super cool. Stick a big amp jewel with an LED in it in that hole!

Also - do you have an old telescoping TV antenna (rabbit ears) lying around? Chop 'em off and epoxy them in those crimp rings at the top and your pedal will have antennae.  :D

WhiskeyMadeMeDoIt

I was told I should post this here.  This is my Thor pedal. I just wanted something a bit different.

WhiskeyMadeMeDoIt

This is a Cornish buffer in a 1590a. Wanted it to look like crime scene evidence. Had a few problems with the clear coat it crackled the finish and puckered the paint.  It added character so I left it.
