Forget the Behringers, what about this in the background of one of the other images!

Got to be impressed with that, Rick...
Keep going!

Is that a pile of circuits.....if it is, I have one of those too!

RickL

Thanks for the comments folks. Now that I've got my camera and this posting pictures thing worked out I'll try to post more.

These pictures represent perhaps 1/10th of my collection. I have all the Behringer pedals, all the mini Dano pedals, a fairly complete set of origional MXR pedals, 10 or 15 Electroharmonix boxes and at least 100 diy stompers.

The tangle of wires is indeed a pile of circuits that haven't been boxed yet, 20 or so of them, almost all working. There's another pile about the same size not too far from them. I really need to get around to boxing them someday.

I travel a fair amount for my job and I build pedals in hotel rooms at night. I've come home at the end of the week sometimes with three working circuits.

mattpocket

You must love your job, if it lets you build 3 a week! Haha

I hope not! That's a lot of wasted parts sitting around :)

RickL

Nope, working circuits (with maybe a couple of exceptions). I just haven't got around to boxing them yet. I probably have 30 or so of them. I can usually get a fairly simple circuit (distortion, trem, eq...) done in two nights in a hotel room. If I'm building real simple stuff like two transistor boosters I've completed two in one night.

I couldn't begin to tell you what's in that pile. I'm pretty sure there are two 4ms Phaseurs (hooked together so they can be operated with one clock like the 'Bistone' in one of the other pictures) and a Bass Balls that I added two extra filters to. Beyond that, I haven't a clue.

markm

I have a pile like that but, I don't keep the off-board stuff attached to them.

Two pictures of my new pedalboard.

There's just enough room for the  only FX I really use.
I used to have a big Warwick pedalboard  filled with stompboxes of all sorts, but rarely used most of them,
so I thought it would be more convenient for gigs to use a small board with only the regular used ones.

It has a little power supply built in which accepts any AC or DC voltage from 12 to 24 V and input- output jacks on the rear side.
I tacked some strips of velcro on it to hold the pedals.

It's not etched. I used transparent sticky photopaper with 3 layers of clear coat.
There is  a gutshot somewhere earlier in this thread.

Quotewhere did you get those rat graphics?

I googled for a good RAT picture and just copied en photoshopped it a bit.

First time I tried to make a decorated pedal, and im very very pleased with the aesthetics.  I just made it on inkjet photo paper attached with spray adhesive and then given 3 coats of flat clear spray.  Unfortunately the circuit hasnt worked... I was trying to make a modified Electra Distortion with a gain control at the front and switchable input caps for two different tones..... but the output is VERYYYY faint.  i have to head off to california for a couple months so i wont get to fix it until i get back.  oh well.  at least it looks cool ;)

mattpocket

Looks great though!
