I thought twocans were more colourful than this.

cheque please!
I don't get it, duck..what you mean?  :o

An english play on words- A 'toucan' is a very colourful bird. You made your amp from two cans, toucan(s) & twocan(s) are pronounced/sound the same in English. thats all!

I guess Gabriel Guerilha was confused because, in Brazil, toucans have political conotations.

A "toucan" around here is a politician belongin to the PSDB opposition party, and contrary to the "Socialist" word that the S represents, it's a rightwing party. He may have made that association and not the toucan=two cans one.

We're in the middle of an institutional crisis, with corruption news pouring from both sides of the political spectrum and all political parties (all 35 of them...). Recently a PSDB congressman was caught with an helicopter full of cocaine, and the Worker's Party government is constantly wallowing in mud, so it would be an understandable mistake if he made this association and got confused.

And now if anyone Google for PSDB stompbox he/she will land here :D

Eric Johnson fuzz clone. I didn't put any 'branding' on it so as not to offend anyone today.
Artwork wasn't done by me, but check out this page for more :D   https://www.facebook.com/teadreamerr-1461515357492625/

Darron, are those Switchcraft jacks?  And star washers on the INSIDE where they belong?  NICE!

BTW, what does the trimpot adjust?

Loved the guts. Clean and neat. And the component layout on the PCB.

Yep, love the Switchcraft open style ones. All the hardware is from Smallbear who sell excellent stuff. They found some perfect star washers which they sell separately. As a side advantage it sucks the socket in 1mm or so which makes the external nut and washer sit almost flush. And it makes a nice channel to hold some wiring I guess.

Trimpot is for bias. Bias isn't so picky on this circuit though.

God bless Switchcraft!  Another advantage is that you can torque them down to "never work loose" level, which is especially great for point-to-point wiring schemes, where you might have components mounted directly to the jacks.  Also they tend to last decades with regular use.

Figured bias on the trimpot, just was wondering which parameter.  I could probably guess, but some people do less common things.  No big deal, just curious.  I'm still learning about this new-fangled solid state stuff.

oh sorry. just the typical way, the collector of Q2 where a normal fuzz face would have 8K2.

I've finally got enough pedals to choose a few for a pedal board.  I don't bother painting them anymore, too impatient.  The pedal board is a 60 x 18cm metal shelf from Ikea.  Left to right - DeProfundis delay, Equinox II reverb, Small Clone Chorus, DOD 250 clone, Tillman preamp with gain switch and a Snowjob overdrive clone.  The last 2 are obviously in the same enclosure.  I might add a switch to that one so I can reverse the effect order.
