We actually have an artificial lake on one of our ranges and we take out of commission boats out there to blow them up :icon_twisted: We deal specifically with naval aviation, so warm and dry is perfect for flying, and a bunch of land in the middle of nowhere is perfect for blowing stuff up without bothering anyone 8)

The Aral Sea was tapped for irrigation but it dried up too fast to get the fishing fleet out:

I would not recommend going there.  When it was full of water, Vozrozhdeniye Island in the middle of the lake was used for testing biological warfare agents.  It was thought that the water would prevent anything from getting to the island or anything getting off.  Now you can drive there.

Alright, just a couple more in this series (the last one will probably be monday or so). And this one is probably my favorite. I'm completely thrilled with how this one looks and sounds. It's a clone of the Soldano Supercharger GTO running 6N21B tubes, 200V at the plates, and of course in a 1590B ;D

My first bass related pedal - B3K clone.  Also, for the first time (maybe for the last time) I applied this black matte finish. It's a rubber in a spray type thing. I have mixed feelings about this stuff.. it's very delicate. Maybe I should put more layers and wait longer before assembly.

Something which as been lying around on my bench since last summer, and finaly got boxed up.

Brian (from indyguitarist) named is AC 30, so I kept it.
A two stage fet overdrive (2n5458's) with a mod: the simple wonderfull tone controle (thx to Mark Hammer).

Cleaned up a 125B and painted it with glossy clearcoat.
Made a 'sticker' from paper covered with adhesive clear vinyl.

Last tube pedal for a while, I promise :P Took my Black Eye Distortion (based on Soldano GTO) and used 12AX7's instead of 6N21B's and ran it at 350V instead of 200V. Sounds pretty neat ;D Also uses my laser-cut acrylic tube guards and laser cut 3PDT washer 8)

Looks like a clear water slide on a white/off white painted enclosure.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

Looks great! ;D How did you like working with the NuTube? I have limited exposure to them, do you find them to be worth the pricetag?

Hey, thank you. Yes, as someone else above states, I use clear water slide decal paper. Not the most issue free of methods, but I've been doing it long enough now that I rarely have problems now. Most of my pedals have that general white appearance as it works best on a white background, so I use gloss white spray paint. For the graphics themselves I use a free open source program very similar to photoshop called GIMP. I've always been into art since school so I like to have fun with that part.

Cheers.
Steve.

10:10K CT audio transformers... The nutube can not drive that directly. BS170 Fet source followers are in between  :icon_wink:

Last time I put this much work into something was the Ludwig project, but this time, we don't have the luxury of R.G. writing up the build doc. :icon_sad:  :icon_lol:
