That was quick  .It works then?

It works great. The red led flashes when D.U.T is good PNP and green when it's good NPN. I still have to find a bad tranny to check what it does in that case, but I'm 99.9% sure it works.

Hmmm...I can easily tell you how to make a bad transistor 

Anyways, I'd just torch one and put it in a pedal that has a socketed tranny

6 knob Dr. Boogey in a 1590B!!!  I didn't think that was possible!

Well I'm eating some humble pie right now cause I can hardly fit a simple 2 knob boost/distortion into a 1590BB...

I had to spend some extra time to fit a markm perf 250 grey spec with mods in a 1590B...There are 2 knobs as usual, 2 DPDT switches (Diode selection - Input cap selection) switch, battery, DC jack...I like the closed jacks, they seem somehow less obtrusive...I think this is a nice project and you should carefully study every component's position so to use the space at its best...
BTW, it is the PCB version, isn't it? which version? was this an easy build? did you use shielded wire for the signal? noises?

her name is 'molly' and she is THE coolest dog on the planet!!  ...only thing is I don't think she really appreciates the subtleties of the green ringer just yet.

Yes, it's a PCB, I used the Eagle files from http://gaussmarkov.net/wordpress/circuits/dr-boogey/ and adjusted the board layout to suit my needs.
Easy build? The difficult part was the layout of pots, jacks and stuff on the enclosure.
It's a bit noisy, but for a high gain circuit like this it's fine, I used no shielded wires.

LHX2 Fender amp simulator. Many hours of planning the pedal layout to fit in a reasonably small box! Added 3 band EQ at the end, power tranny inside the box.


Here you can see the internals. I made a "shelf" attached with the outside handles screws to put the PCB´s on. I also made a "shielding sub box" for the power tranny and regulator PCB to avoid getting AC hum/noise into the signal. Seems to work well, no hum at all. A real mess of wiring, shielded wire EVERYWHERE! 

Backside, I added an FX loop to insert processors between the amp sim and speaker sim.
