Boogdish

7 chips, 8 pots, 1 rotary.  Pitch Shifter?  Ring Mod with a crazy oscillator? 8 stage phaser with highly adjustable LFO?

Dragonfly

Nothing fancy.....but it sounds nice !

SOUND SAMPLE

The only bad sounding stomp box is an unbuilt stomp box. ;-)

Damn! .........and what is it you little tease?

The right hand board is the filters from the OSCar synth that Paul Perry posted a while ago. The other board is a pair of VCLFOs. I'm planning on adding an envelope follower or AD generator and maybe a sample and hold or a sequencer.
To be honest I'm not sure what it will turn into, I haven't got enough breadboard space to try out all the ideas at once so I just build bits of it as I go along.

EDIT: Ian, I like the way that the photo is just out of focus enough so as not to be able to read the markings on the chips! Cunning!

Yeah gotta keep the boutweekers at bay  ;D

By the looks of it I'd say a parallel universe (modified for bass maybe?)
Seems to has the same controls.
It's supposed to sound that way.

We'll be looking forward to seeing it!  :icon_twisted:

Does it contain rare/radioactive/vintage/military parts?
(just have a feeling one or more might be appropriate.)
It's supposed to sound that way.

You've got virtually a whole synth there Ian - why not just make it into a mini modular for maximum flexibility? 19" rack?

"boutweekers" ??

I think that's where I'm heading with it, it's certainly not going to be a stompbox.

"boutweekers" ?? = Boutiquers, cloners, circuit stealers, or whatever. Just my dodgy camera phone really, I have no DIY secrets worth hiding :)

Dragonfly, the Super-B sounds like a great candidate for a RF antenna like the probe pedals! It's sounds great!

When your life is over, will any of this STUFF really matter?

this one has some time

as you can see, its called COrrosion

was an idea i had revolving on my mind from some time, then i thought it was a real cool, then i discovered its essentially a poor man's Sonic Alienator  :icon_eek:

but i like it, a lot

has three modules: one for Aliasing, one for LPF fun, then one for modulation, an LFO

on the right side picture, four RCA jacks can be seen, one of them carries the LFO signal, the other three are patches for CV control on the LPF, and two CV points of the aliaser

the cool thing is it features lots of different sounds, as:

-bypass  ....:icon_mrgreen:
-aliaser
-aliaser+LPF
-LPF
-modulated LPF
-aliaser+modulated LPF
-modulated aliaser+LPF
-tremolo
-etc

features 2 switches, one for bypass, the other one for activating two different aliaser Freq controls, as well as modulation (the little toggle plays a role here, its messy to explain, but it gives control over whats modulated and when)

deaconque

How 'bout some clips Nordine.  That thing looks pretty sweet
