Hi all. This is my first post  ;D been lurking a while though. This thread has been so inspirational. A lot of these pedals look better than any brand name FX. So here's my pedalboard anyway. The little box at the upper right hand side is a simple AB box that switches to either my tuner or into the first pedal in the chain, which is my 1975 phase 45. The big purple box is a silicon fuzz and the other plain aluminium one is  an octave up using the push me pull you schematic.
Keep the pics coming! I love this thread!!  ;D

A multi-purpose box.  LPB and Brian May boost (toggle switch to select which, footswitch for bypass) on the right, chained into a Dist+ with a few tweaks on the left.  Box is from my very first project from years and years ago, the Anderton Tube Sound fuzz from EPFM.  Ran across the box a few days ago and boxed this up in it.  Makes for a slightly weird layout compared to the labelling, but it works.  My first multiple-effects-in-one-enclosure deal.  Wiring has been cleaned up slightly since the photo.

For those of you who remember the SKull etched box I did... that was inexperienced box etching out of control....Mark M has since shown us all the way and here is my first attempt since enlightenment...Uglyface with the blend mod...thanks go out to Tim E. for the design, Dan N for the board and tidbits (I haven't forgotten about the DVD!) and Mark M for the awesome tutorial...
Rock On...

ow would you rate it's difficulty? from the perspective of someone who has never etched before... on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being dead easy)

so far its the toughest thing I've tried...a few annoying variables and its a somewhat tedious process... but if you were to follow MArkM's Acid Graphics Tutorial to the letter, I think you'd have something you can be proud of...

Rack Gear: MXR Digital Delay, Alesis digital delay and reverb, Furman LC-3 limiter and compressor, DOD Dual EQ
Effects (around pedalboard L-R): Korg PX2, Arion Metal Master(Goodwill), The Insanity Pedal (aka the Antichrist), Rocktron Hush, Boss CH-1 super chorus, Mark Hammer's chaos with tone control mounted in wah, RM Octavia(The one with darlingtons), repaired Bass Crybaby, TS-7
Effects on board: Mr. EQ>>Custom Wah>>Whammy>>Ring Modulator>>TS808 clone>>Boss Blues Driver (NEEDS MODS!), Boss Metalzone (Modded)>>Orange Squeezer>>Boss PH-2 Super Phaser>>Tonepad CE-2 chorus and Rebote 2.5 in Russian BMP box, EA Tremelo -- All powered by the supply at the top, minus the Whammy. This thing has been about 2 years in the making and it still isn't done... I need to shorten the power cables and build a good box for all of this.

And now, the worlds dirtiest workbench (I've been busy ;D):

Nate, etch on my man, that Ugly Face sure isn't!!
Nice Job!

I noticed in alot of these boards, at the base of transistors there are these black circular things!?!  What are those, are they necessary?  Will the circuit still work without them???

Hello.  The circular things are sockets for the transistors, and are entirely optional. There are three pins on the bottom, which go through the PC board and are soldered in place, and on the top are three holes where the transistor leads go.  This allows for easy swapping of transistors, and avoids issues with overheating/static while soldering.  As long as care is taken when soldering, there should be no problem with soldering the transistor leads directly.

Here's an idea - The Messiest Workbench Contest!  I think it at least deserves it's own thread, maybe over in the lounge?  Just a fun thought...

Here are some of my pedals...

First of all a failed try of etched box....
An octavator "like" the Blue Box

I moved to the decals and made a Marshall MS-2 amp build in a box:

A passive A/B/Y Box...

and a Fuzz/Swell pedal... (what a creppy sound!!)

I hope you like it!!!

$uperpuma

I'll bet if you masked off the sides and shot a coat of color, maybe blue on the top so it gets in the crevices, then sand the top so it only remains in the the cracks.. it would look great... otherwise they all look GREAT... very fun!

sorry for this, but i had to do it.

You are a complete shame for the DIY community selling your stompboxes as custom designs, with names changed, and very expensive to what is the situation in Argentina today.
