There's three PTs and a couple other chips to consider...

Excellent point, didn't even think about that. PT2399's aren't the most expensive chip out there, but they're not the cheapest either so I agree it's worth it to err on the side of caution.

I apologize for my misinformed comment. Carry on :icon_mrgreen:

I could swear I responded to this like 30 min ago or so. The board layout is clearly done for the larger style regulator. But I suppose you could try the T092 package version. I just used it because it was what was available at tayda. But I agree, probably best to use the larger one for the current availability. From what I can gather, theIC1 Tl072 is biased with the regulator and the IC6 Tl072 is biased with the usual 4.5V. So, it's a lot to consider.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

ive got the t092/78l05 on breadboard at the moment with 4 pt's...its fine,

Two in one enclosure, a BJFE Honeybee and Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive. I didn't have an OP275 so I put aTL072 in there.
The housing was reused from a previous build, the copper effect paint is quite tricky, I should've taken a bit more time, but soit.

It had two bright blue leds, but one led didn't work as it should, I only had a red 5mm LEd lying around, so now the Monkey has two different coloured eyes ;-p

THAT. IS. AMAZING. Like whoa. I can't even explain how much I love this build. So good. The black on copper looks fantastic. Seriously. Just wow. :icon_eek:

I'm bananas for that Monkey Unit.

What size enclosure is that? I need some of those!

Schizo910

Thanks guys! Here's a link to the enclosure I used. Mind you those sizes are in millimeters (152,5 x 83 x 50mm).  ;D

152,5 x 83 x 50 mm = 6 x 3.27 x 1.97 inches

to paraphrese lx chilton, "oo-ee paint, wot cha'gona do? I'm sick and tired, of foolin roun wit chew." I've finished making a horrible mess of these, I don't wanna do any more paint. it all went wrong, everywhere, I just hope I'm standing back far enough you can't see. and the wood, being organic, doesn't do what I tell it.

here we have one of Gus's "no knob lead" boosts, stock, like in his thread. purple paint, jarra ends, extra white washers, which will be seen on all my painteds, I think.

it was supposed to look like 'duk nkl', but letter sizes did for me.
nothing much interesting inside besides a pair of bc549's ....

next is an electra, with an additional warp knob (no volume control), with a Ge one end and Si the other. white paint w/ some purple tint, stamped letters and tassie oak ends, complete with f-hole. I might paint everything this white.

the mess inside includes a pn2222.

next is the sasff, which is easy to see is a semi-acoustic silicon fuzzface, axisface, tantalus, silliface et al. I don't know what caused that particular yellow, and the camera doesn't quite catch how green-awful it really is. pre-gain and vol, input cap and output cap switches, blonde jarra sides, collet knobs.

australians of a certain age may remember the top qual, aussie made TT800, seen here with a bf470. they turned up with gains of 89 and 120, what else was I going to do with them? includes an inverter (with toroid) and input cap jumper select for more/less fattness.

I had this all wired into the box, turned it on for the first time since the BB, and it sounded like arse, real bad arse. ahh, I thort, oh, well, did it sound like that before? and then I remembered the bias trimm. mmmm, that's a relief.

Right on!  F-holes!!
I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad
