This is not exactly a stompbox. It's tube mic preamp. I spent about a year for prototyping and 2 versions of the PCB.
So, here guys is Eva studio tube mic preamp:

Two recent things from me. Unfortunately, I don't get to keep either of them (which in the case of the Cardinal means the first time I won't own my first complete build of one of my designs):

The first Cardinal Version 2:

This has a whole heap of improvements over the previous design to get it to sound and work closer to the amp while still being as simple as possible. There will be a project thread in the near-ish future, but I need to build another for myself so I can film the demo first. (I actually have a tap tempo version for myself ready to be boxed on my workspace, but I'd prefer to demo the analog version since that's the one that will get the PCB. I don't get to keep it is because a customer ordered one pretty much the same time I had finished making my layout for the finalized design of the analog version. So I just offered him a build of the new version even though I hadn't officially "released" it yet.

Another Ghost Note, which is just my version of the Flatline with a threshold control added (variable gain on the second op amp feedback loop), for another customer. (Not sure why people keep buying these from me when the Bearhug is cheaper, though ...)

Whoa :icon_eek: I recently put a Rebote 2.5 into a 1590B and thought I was cool. Great looking build, I've always loved these tiny boxes, but definitely not the kind of thing I have the patience for.

Especially love those clear washers 8)

Here's another- the Equinox !! reverb by Merlin (yeah, my spelling sux).

The LM7805 is glued to the lid, I use the larger regulator for any PT2399 build with more than 1 of those chips

Close- I still need to finish the Zombie Chorus (almost done) and a phaser (still researching, am flipping coins and breadboarding now). I''ll post photos once this micro board project is complete.

Cozy, I've gone a little mad simply looking at your builds... Great work.

Cozybuilder

Isn't this the mindset of the guys who used to build a "Ship in a Bottle"?  Being a little mad is an asset  ;D

Russ if you ever decide to build in anything bigger you'll need to change your handle/nickname. Great patience and work!

Niki

As per usual stunning work Nikolay! Always been impressed with the way you stabilize the horizontally mounted tubes.

All 'round beauty!

Here I am browsing the safe side of the interwebs I thought, and then someone decides to post a picture of Eva with barely a thread on, her cans and other bits proudly on display, posed as if she's just sitting there waiting for some guy to come along and stick his plug into her hoping to make her scream :icon_eek:

Shame on you.

Thank god the kids are asleep  :icon_mrgreen:

Seriously though, nice work there.

Thanks guys for your nice words :)

I can't say nothing more because my English is poor :):) ??? but Thank you for your opinion!

It's not easy to make something like Eva preamp. Trust me, but I'm always impressed when see a good designed product. Unfortunately my experience with stock guitar amplifiers, effects etc is that almost everything new and modern is poor designed with crappy look inside similar to Chinese karaoke. I hate this look and I spent so much time for the pcb design, ground tracks, grounding, signal path etc to be on the other side of the quality.

Messing with other people's "junk."

About a day ago, I bought a grab-bag from Pupil... it had an old enclosure in it.  I had some sundrie parts lying around-- a huge silver Sprauge 20uF as an example.. So, I set off to build a "Recycler" '67 mojo DA Fuzz Face (+ bias knob)...

Other "junk" parts included --
Freebie green knobs from Kipper (keeping with the green theme)
A near free eyelet boards I made
Bag-o-snaps (battery) I was given
Voltage Inverter charge pump-- see it on the left?  Old Rev. A board I basically give away.  Only a couple lying around my man cave anymore
Free 3PDT stomp switches I still have 100's of
A tropical fish output cap I was given
"Reused" jacks

Anyway-- you get the picture.  Presenting:  The "Recycler" Fuzz

And a gut:

I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad
