Thanks! And now a short description:

The chain of 5 SMD diode pairs (near lower edge of board) connected to negative feedback of first opamp instead of omitted generic one.
Each pair is connected in parallel to its own resistor according a law R/2 (i.e. 220k-100k-47k-22k-10k).
This clipping method borrowed from speech handling in telecommunication system.
It is a kind of static compression and it provides a very soft clipping with a minimum of irritating grit components.
This is a OD mode of SoulScreamer. Then level is attenuated 3:1 approx in order to equalize with level of DS mode.

In DS mode here is choice between Si and Ge limiter - Schottky diode pair or 4 different Ge (in order to equalize levels also; located at other side of board).

Next user's choice is switchable and tunable peaker (T-bridge circuit). It provides extremely bright sound!

Then there is unswitchable 8-th order LPF like a final cleaner with cut-off frequency 3 kHz (no grits anymore).

OD mode is very suitable for SRV fans and DS mode - for Blackmore ones.

My circuit is not a top secret and it is completely accessible for everyone. :-)
Use it or lose it.

ksg - that's a fantastic looking box. did you cnc engrave, or by hand (please say by hand)?
" I will say no more "

KSG

By hand, of course. The hand of artisan. It was unexpensive for me.

My another monster: personal Sound Lab.

Ugly but lovely:

There are 5 devices in one box:
1) Fet Booster (Fetzer Valve de Lux R.O.G.)
2) MC33182D rail-to-rail dist followed Schottky pair
3) LPF 8-th order with cut-off 3 kHz
4) LPF 8-th order with cut-off 4,5 kHz
5) Peaker 2,8...4,2 kHz
All are true bypassed.

Lot of switches - lot of sounds!

Rat's nest? Yes, that's true...

This just begs to be painted gold with a 999.9 stamped on it!

Ferrite beads may be omitted.
Notice a little mod of Millenium Bypass: small capacitor between gate and ground gives a really magic feature "Slow-Glow" when switching on.
I love it very, very, very much and I highly recommend it!

very nice, repurpoised box. looks like you like some of your girls more than the othere, what with no engraving for the fetzer. the ugly sister (comparitively speaking)?

and now you've shown some russian big metal can jfets, now people will be clamouring for the mojo they must contain. where did you source them from?

[edit :] spellings

KSG

Engraved boxes looks much better but stickered ones turn out much faster...
Concerning big can jfets - nothing special, but weird logo. They contain a pair of identical transistors with Vgs=0,35...0,4V (with letter A only).
They are accessible somewhere as NOS components. Their cost here in Russia is $1 approx.
Use it or lose it.

According to your request: Wampler PlexiDrive engraved.

Scheme is slightly modified (as usual):
1) Tone capacitor reconnected to taper and ground for more open sound.
2) Added 47 k in series with Q3/gate enhances sound (in my opinion).
3) Implemented my favorite slow-glow.
Use it or lose it.

Greenmachine

You have impressive skills Mr. KSG.

My guess is the PCB traces are too close to the edge and the bug is intermittent shorting?

lightning bugs (or russian equiv)? slo-glo, of course.

Storyboardist-
That is an elegant graphic, I love it!

That trem looks great! Definitely something to aspire to.
Can I ask what you used for paint? Almost looks like a GM color.
