another one with candy green powder coat and black powder fill:

love the artwork on this one!

+1, it looks great. was the process to powdercoat green, laser etch the artwork then somehow fill in the etched artwork with the black powder before baking again ?

Design by myself and three other guys together, Steven Mitchell, Philip Hawthorne, Piet Verbruggen and me.
16 effects slots, 8 of which can have new effects wrote/flashed via usb to the internal memory. LCD display with 128 user saveable patches and 22 preset patches of echotapper echo's, midi in for external control .  Primarily designed for the Hank Marvin, Shadows echo's but can be programmed to do anything really.

Hey thanks. Yeah, that's right. Powder green, then a heavy couple of coats of clear powder coat, only on the top, not the sides. Then fill with black and carefully sand back. Then a final coat of clear powder over everything to bring the sheen back, otherwise it will be scuffed and matte from sanding.

The first clear coat is needed otherwise you sand into the base candy and the colour won't be even.

I've got a second gun setup just for doing clear. But the black powder you don't need a gun for, just dust it on by hand and wipe it off with a squeegee.

Thanks Darron,
great info, and that gives my a reason to save some money for a co2 etching gizmo.
It looks fantastic :)

Really just a reboxed project, and the paint job got damaged while I was spraying it, and I just couldn't be bothered to fix it.  It's a 8-way MIDI looper, done the easy way.  The relay board is pretty straight forward, with a transistor driver circuit to slow down the incoming signal, trying to get rid of the pop (not completely, but it helps a lot).  The MIDI control board is a Highly Liquid MPA, which they don't sell any more, but they have open sourced the design, so you can pretty easily get a board made and roll your own.  I've got to work on my metal brake skills, though!

Grant Distortion. A clone of a Coron 15 which is a clone of a MXR distortion apparently. A fantastic basic 2 knob distortion!

Wrapped up this little delay for a friend I'm also building a tele for.

The zebrawood matches the top of the tele.

The circuit is the Dirty Punk Repeater—just a simple PT2399 delay. Great for some slapback and short delays.

dual blendable -1/+1 pitch shifters and resonant filter.

the 3-way toggle switches between 3 modes of resonance on the filter. none at all, moderate 2-pole resonance, a a whole lot 4-pole.

I kind of built this to try and replace my micropog. it does actual variable pitch shifting which the pog cannot do, which is great, also the resonant filter makes the bass sound really huge! but it does have that fluttery waving sound a lot of cheaper pitch shifters do (and I'm limited by the FV-1), that the pog does not. doesn't bother me hugely, but who knows maybe after a trial run I'll want to keep both.

Can we hear it? :icon_biggrin:

Here are two projects I finished last year:

A three amp switcher has two transformer galvanically isolated outputs with phase switches and one buffered output.

And another simple passive 2U rack splitter. Nothing fancy here, just spent some time for screwing and soldering :)

playsforfun

A Garcia inspired combo that I made for my son. Its got a mild compressor, auto wah, dist+ and a phaser. There is a built in effects loop with switchable phase correction between the wah and dist+. All finishing through an active EQ. A light plate underneath holds the status LEDs for each switchable circuit.

Wow playsforfun, that's quite a build.

Agreed. Very cool, especially the graphics.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

Hey storyboardist, nice build with a style.
The ceramics caps really add something to the project  :icon_cool:

Hello guys! Greetings from Brazil.  :icon_mrgreen:

I don't usually post here, but i like to share my masterpiece!
Here's the DARTH MUFF;

A Pharaoh Fuzz clone, inspired on the classic Big muff, with a lot of new options and power (or force, haha)!
Apart from controls of Tone, Fuzz & High, it counts with an hi/lo input switch and amazing options of clipping, going from Jedi (Si) to Sith (Ge).

The etched art was made with the photosensitive ink and totally inspired on Star Wars. With no doubt, this one was the most complex enclousure that I've ever done.
About how it sounds: AMAZING! One of the best that I've ever finished. Permanent in my set, from a little saturation to the dirt mother@#$%ing fuzz with infinite sustain that we all love.
What do you guys think?

Sorry for my basic english and possible grammar errors Emoticon  :icon_lol: :icon_redface:
