My DOD FX53 Classic Tube Distortion

And the obligatory gut shot:

I'm loving the hammered paint. It's very forgiving and seems really durable. This is the copper color. I'll have to see what my local stores have otherwise. The switch is for Asymmetrical and symmetrical clipping in the feedback loop.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

Sorry Rob, the quote tags were messed up in the September post and misrepresented it to you.

It's correctly quoted earlier in the same post.

Again, sorry Rob, i blew it, should have caught that.

Lovetone Flange With No Name, done tinysize! (I think my big box version is still loaned out to someone.) This is in a 1790NS enclosure!

Another PCB sandwich with this one, and I'm quite proud of how nicely it worked out. Wiring is still a bit of a pig, but it's unescapeable with two stomps and four jacks.

To give you an idea of the vertical clearance --

Super good looking build. I'm also a big fan of the hammered paints for the same reason. I have a can of metallic light blue hammered finish that I love, especially on boxes that I haven't prepped very well ::)

Yeah, I was a little worried that the texture in the paint wouldn't allow the decal to stick. It moved like crazy when applying it. The clear coat really softens it to the point where it almost melts and glues itself to the enclosure.

Alan... you know I'm all about this. How does the Bypass work?

Excellent work  ;)

Non-true-bypass, it's the stock Lovetone Flange bypass with this one. (I/P Gain affects volume both with the effect on and off.)

Today is new pedal day!

This is the first time I've ever posted a new build (or any build for that matter)!  I'm really excited even though this isn't my first build, but it's the most polished and clean build I've done to date.  I built a Chasm Reverb (thanks Rob!) this time around and it sounds awesome!  The design is thermal transfer printed on clear self-adhesive vinyl and laminated with another sheet of clear vinyl.  It didn't turn out quite like I had hoped but it worked out way better than my attempts at caustic etching.

Without further adieu, the pictures:

Hello guys, i think its my first pic on this topic. Normally i am very afraid to post something here. Hahahaha, so much professional things. So this is my newest pedal. Is an distortion based on the MXR Dist + with some new thinks to make the sound more better to me  ;D I hope you like.

That's all, Folks!

Stompbox Cookbook "Echo-matic" / Echomatic circuit built into a modified Marantz PMD221 deck. Sorry no gut shots: spaghetti is packed into the deck's battery compartment and every time I open it a joint breaks. Not worth it for the photo which won't reveal much anyways. For more details check this thread:

The use of a self made loop inside the cassette gives this a flangey/chorusy wobble I think couldn't be replicated easily...very musical & unique, sometimes noisy effect

Incredible "cassette" build! Always dreamed of making one! *currently checking the echomatic thread*

Here are two recent builds:

A Pharaoh Fuzz clone with "home-conceived" Big Muff PCB:

Very nice fuzz, the germanium clipping really adds a nice touch to the Big Muff circuit. However, the volume loss is really boring, I think I will change the transistor bias a bit to increase the output volume.
It is really smooth and full of mids for a Big Muff, I really like it.

Jan Ray clone with "home conceived" PCB :

I am quite proud of the guts, quite a challenge to make it look that clean... It is a really nice overdrive, I changed it a bit to have less gain. The EQ is especially really nice, not too much trebles, and quite a good amount of bass available!
