Yet Another Fuzz Face...

No graphics, no LED, no wall wart jack.  Looks almost blue in pics, but is actually very purple.  Knobs are probably temporary.

Sustain is amazing!  Big thanks to Small Bear for the "continental" PNP transistor set!

A word of advice: to avoid the mounting holes in the front panel, use the optional metal plate inside under potentiometers and a button.  ;)
Use it or lose it.

I don't know what "optional metal plate" you're referring to, but I can imagine several contraptions that could work for eyelet board mounting, if that's what you're talking about.  I don't mind the screws in the top.  This is for my personal use, and cosmetics don't really matter.  Good sound, solid construction, and seviceability...that's all I care about.

Rigid, reliable, serviceable:

No any extra hole:

Rangemaster + FuzzFace with bias control.

ksg - a sub-panel - excellent!

therm - 3 kindsa purple, nice one. and you might start a trend w/ panel-mount screwdriver pots.

Actually I don't eat fish, but my family often eats sardines and tunas, so from now on I'll be saving the cans :icon_lol:. I just need to find a way to do the bottom plate.

Marcos, I'm in Brazil too, let's talk about our pedals, pm when you can!
I'm using a butter can (manteiga Aviação, very good stuff), a new can every week!

I use a Nescau cover that fits exactly with the butter can.
Me too didn't have a solution for sardines with this shape.

This is pretty funny, because I just spent the day building a Rangemaster out of spare/leftover parts!  I had some low-gain AC128s that didn't make the cut in my FF, so I used two in the RM in a darlington pair setup.  I didn't know how it would work out, but sounds great!  So warm and clear!

Hi, Thermionix!
There is not much problem with Rangemaster biasing: just slightly adjust 68k resistor between base and ground until you get near 6 V at collector.
Everything gotta be alright!

I'm not even going to check, I don't want to change anything.  This is my first RM experience, and I'm quite impressed.  I don't know if it sounds "correct" because I have nothing to compare it to, but I really like it.  Sounds like a tube preamp.  Sounds like it should weigh 20 lbs.

for a split second, I thought you were referring to a "RM" as in ring modulator. i thought to myself, "one royally f'd up tube preamp!"

Okay, not having kids, at first  thought "What the h*ll is that an image OF ?"
Then I realized it was a children's booster seat....lol

Man, you and I started building about the same time and you are building on vero, and I am still stumbling (frequently) while attempting kits...
Rock on Jimi!

Hey thanks man, I was going for obscure, those booster seats are from when we were kids, just. A real long time ago.
I probably have too much time to build and hone my skills, it's my zen place.

A(nother!?) Ruby Amp. Didn't care too much for cab on this one.  :o

Just realized I haven't posted pictures up here in a very long time (I still have two amps and a guitar that need to make it to their respective threads as well :P ) but here's my latest. Nothing remarkable, Deep Blue delay variant in a Tayda powdercoated enclosure, CNC engraved. The only thing really cool about it is that I finally was able to fit an analog delay with jacks, switch and everything into a 1590B and still have room for a battery! Originally I had hoped to put it in a 1590A but it wouldn't quite fit, so it fits very comfortably in a 1590B.

Oh yeah, and I've also started signing (via CNC) and serializing the pedals that I either designed myself or modified enough to justify calling it "mine" and did my own layout, so this is #002.
