The Bus Driver  ;D

I see you and I share a similar technique when it comes to wall wart jack wiring.

Hair Force One - great box! Where did you get it from?

thanks Peterg

i do the cuting and the bending myself, using scrap metal. I never bought one hammond box since my first builds (2003), i love tinkering.
I made a post about that in my weblog -> https://generaledefoutre.wordpress.com/2014/02/13/d-i-y-stompbox-construction-now-in-color/.

Nice enclosure. Just curious if you had the enclosure resting flat on a piece of wood or metal when you stamped it to prevent the dimple effect around the lettering.

Yaeah, it's there if I ever want it and the battery leads are twice as long as necessary so all I have to do is clip and solder. I originally intended that as a way to test drive the box before painting, now that it's been painted and re-assembled I am supposed to wire the DC up... but...  :P

I don't use wall warts, so to me the jacks are just a potential failure point.  I have a couple kit builds where they're installed just to fill the hole, but not wired in, like in your picture.

I don't post pics much because some of y'alls skills intimidate the hell out of me.  But I just whipped this up this afternoon and while it's not beautiful is has a spartan charm to it.

One afternoon?  That has to be the fastest stompbox build ever!

I may have drilled it last weekend.  I also may have called out of work.

I think the insides are beautiful- well laid out, tidy, the soldering looks good. Outside the pot holes & toggle are lined up nicely, and no misspelling either. I like the utilitarian look. But what is it, and how does it sound?

it's a Pillar Shaker, and it sounds heavenly

Sorry.  It's a CMOS bass overdrive/fuzz with a depth control on the input and a clean blend.  I think it sounds amazing.  Wish I had some good sound samples.  Here's one made with the line in on my PC:

No name yet but there's a link to the schematic in this thread:

A Pharaoh Fuzz with my owndesigned PCB:

I used the same components names as on the Big Muff Page, so I can just grab the schematic of the Big Muff version I want to do and start building!
It is a nice sounding fuzz, quite a bit more mids than usual Big Muff.

The diode clipping options are also a cool feature: germanium diodes do sound good in a Big Muff! Here, it gives a more classical "vintage fuzz" sound to the muff, a bit like a fuzz face (but more compressed)

that's a good looking thing, benoi. if my brother saw that, he might tell his joke, "a man paddled his canoe down the nile: that was a fair row".

Is the LED switched?

Is the LED switched?
Ya, why, is it hard to see the wires in the middle column of the 3PDT? Black from footswitch plus board gets grounded at bypass, and red wire from board to LED come thru a 68k resistor
