My friend has changed the design of its own fuzz face.

Now it looks like the face of Homer Simpson ... hahaha

Use it or lose it.

Hi All,

I have a finished build! Yeah!! this is only my 3rd pedal to ever build #1 works and #2 doesn't (both of those are Aion also). This is an Aion Electronics PCB Project. It's the "Stratus" a take on the TS-9. I built it to the specs Robin Trower used on his TS and buffered both the (in & Out) Bypass and used the Bright Mod. It's built in a 1590B enclose, painted it with model paint from Hobby Lobby and used a clear waterslide decal to print my letters and logo onto.
Here are the pictures of it, since I cant upload them directly here is the Imgur link.

Feedback would be nice good or bad? thanks for taking the time to look at it.

Cheers!
Bobby

yeah....220... 221... what ever it takes.

Nice neat build inside and out Bobby, looks good.

I just right clicked on your image, chose the "Copy image address" and pasted it between the [img][/img] tags. Probably an easier way, but it works.

Thanks Guerrilha, it's "School Bus Yellow" spray paint from the auto store, hand drawn graphics with sharpie oil-paint pens, then clear coat with auto enamel.
I'm kind of doing this way too.

Mr Lyman please - what lies within the black heatshrink?

Very clean! I like the twisting of the wires, it makes it a lot cleaner and neater inside the box.

Flux capacitor. The light is UV so he thought best to cover it up. lol.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

Ben Lyman

Ha! ya, flux cap! actually it's just a 47uF axial cap with one leg bent down along the side, shrink holds it there. The original Bazz Fuss Deluxe crackles when you turn the dirt knob but I wanted to eliminate the crackle for my buddy so he doesn't know I'm a hack!   ;D

What is a flux cap?
Can you tell us what is the schematic, Ben?

"Flux capacitor" is a joke, from the 1980s movie Back to the Future.  There is no such thing.  Ben says there's an electrolytic cap in the heatshrink.

Guerrilha- I'll try and put a schematic together on my computer. Right now its just a bunch of scribbling on paper from when I was piecing it together on the breadboard.

In the meantime, check out this "quick and dirty" PNP Ge MKII I slapped together this afternoon for my brother. Nothing special, no mojo parts except maybe the old trannys from 1967. Pre-painted black box from Tayda, a real bargain at $5.49. The pedal sounds great, all in all not too bad for a freebie, I think my bro will be happy with it.

I Finally managed to box one of my dreaded 1590a layouts! There are some more populated boards sitting on my workbench mocking me, but this one I finished!

It is a Zendrive with a clean blend (or - due to my etching skills -  a BLEN knob). The questions regarding the clean blend and a build document here. Pretty much standard - one germanium diode and two BAT41s, NE5532 as opamp and two BS170s.

By the way: What would be the right picture thread for an etched 1590a image? Pictures, Etched enclosures, 1590a?

Nevermind, doc
I searched for Deluxe Bass Fuzz schematic and came one with a transformer on it, you guys were talking flux cap, crakles, my english is poor....        what a mess!
I'll let this silly questions out of this section.
Here is about pictures, right?!!

Another quick and dirty build in a pre-painted Tayda box for my other brother... this time it's a PNP Ge Rangemaster treble booster with 1966/7 Philco 2N2048. Got a switch for input caps: bass boost, stock RM and modified treble boost.
