Nice built Lars!
love the way you bend the enclosure. maybe we can look zoom at the side screw?
are you not scared to break the pots when press that baby with boots rock shoes?  :icon_mrgreen:

It looks like the concept of the pedal board is evolving. Nice work Lars.

Well, all your switching ideas are valid and great but this one is just supposed to be a decision maker.

I'll surely try some wild noises by stacking some or all of them,  but that's not what it is all about . If my friend chooses one,  I am going to plug it from the enclosure and box it on its own. The rest goes into my gigantic drawer of  builds not worth boxing.

And indeed, I am  not a fuzz man at all,  so I don't know what to aim for. I hate this transistor testing and the literally millions of possibilities, especially if I don't know how it is supposed to sound.  But I admit, the Peach Fuzz and the Tonebender have got something.

I just went through my order history and found out that this enclosure came in my FIRST order in pedalmaking ever! 13th of May 2012. That's when it all started! A linear booster kit and a looper to get my digital multi-fx's wining out of my pedal board. Crazy.

Now I used it upside down (because the top was perforated with holes), that's probably why it looks a bit strange. It is a Hammond 1411WU enclosure. Here's the datasheet: http://www.hammondmfg.com/pdf/1411W.pdf

I am no rocker. I rather fear that it might be some drink leaking in that'd do for it. But that's hardly a matter of stability.

That's very nicely designed. And probably drink-proof.

A Super Drive 70s from GuitarPCB.  I made is for a friend's son.  Boost - Tone Bender - Screamer all in one PCB.  Its a great little noise machine.

Looking good everybody!
Here's my latest, another "Form-Inator" Fuzz/Octave/Ring Modulator

A "Form-Inator" Fuzz/Octave/Ring Modulator. Very interesting project. Could you share with us the veroboard layout? :)

How do you fix the board into the box?

Thanks! ;)

This is an ersatz verben/crap fi variant, I added a negistor oscillator LFO to modulate the delay time.  Tried to mount the 9 mm pots directly to the vero, they would not hold torque and twisted pretty badly, so they ended up getting wired off board....

Going to try the emitter follower buffer trick next to get better control of the mix, without any high frequency loss.

Really nice enclosure.
Since I am always fascinated by negistor circuits (not that I ever did something useful with them, only oscillators and noise makers) can you post the schematic you used?

A buffer, even the most simple bjt one, makes that kind of circuits a lot better.

Thanks bluebunny!
Elijah, it's probably not as exciting as I make it sound but it's a very useable pedal.
The evolution of it can be found here:

The board is held down with Scotch 20lbs. test double sided earthquake foam but there is plenty of room for stand offs if using an oversized perf.
I use pad per hole and I do have a layout in diycreator if you want it PM me your email and I can send it to you.
the bottom looks like this:

Curious, how is that board held in place?  Or is it?

Another recent build that I finally got together. I've had this Montreal Assembly CA Ringmod PCB for years and finally got everything wired up.

Nice one skull, reminds of a punk rock Pokemon on PCP.
Here's another "FORM-INATOR" but this time with a toggle to switch between a 1n270 or 1n34a

I haven't posted in this thread for a while I think, so here's around 2 years of build catchups!

I revisited the Little Angel and Krankasaurus builds that were my first ever pedal builds...  The guts of the Kranky have been replaced with a Crunchbox and a Crackle Not Ok on vero.  I LOVE the Crunchbox.  Still a bit messy, but far more reliable.

Before and after gutshots

Can't remember if I've posed Ammocan or not.  It's a DOD280 compressor, Klon, and Gainster in one box.

I've built a number of pedals for a friend of mine.  The first is the Harley's Hammer, based on the Madbean Afterlife compressor, which is John Hollis' Flatline Compressor.

Dual booster, featuring a Crackle Not Ok on one side, and a Brian May Greg Fryer Treble Booster on the other.  Running the BMGFTB into the CNO makes for nice ACDC type crunch.  The bi-color LED goes green for the TB, and red for the CNO.  Stays red when both are on unfortunately.

Hyperactive Hyperdrive.  Klon, Gainster (Madbean boards), and single channel Plexitone (Haberdasher etch from a Madbean layout).  Jimmy is a BTTF fan in case you didn't notice.

All three pedals in their new home, with proper knobage.

Madbean Deadringer v1 etch.

Adam Cameron Signature edition Crackle Not Ok (vero) and One Knob Fuzz (etch) pedals.

Brian May Greg Fryer Treble Booster.

Vintage Shin-ei Echo Master modifications.  I added true bypass, replacing the power stompswitch with a dedicated illuminated rocker, and installing a 4pdt for bypass.  Also added an external fuse.

I've been looking in fuses to add better safety to pedals,  and got into wondering what value is best...

This is my hard clipping diode custom design.  I played with a tl072 and clipping diodes until I liked the result.  This is its second enclosure. I call it the screaming monkey.  The eyes are the clipping diodes (yellow leds)  and lights up when it distorts.

Your boards and wires look so neat and tidy!
What gauge wire do you use?
