For the smaller knobs.. have you seen the KN-8F style.  (see Tayda).  has a small skirt, and setscrew.  Feels nice.

I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

I like smaller knobs - well, I'm mostly a 1590A-er (this word don't even exist, but you get the point :icon_lol:). But for this build I think the bigger ones looks better.

I think he wants the larger knobs for the top row, and smaller ones for the bottom row...  (unsure)

(Munky-- those KN-8F have become my "small" knob choice.  Really hefty with a brass insert.  The small skirt covers the pot nut and washer.  Looks good.. feels good...  Since I am starting to build a lot of 1590A's-- doing a lot more of it!)

Actually, there's no bottom row. The small knobs are there just for visual comparation. I had to check the pictures 3 or 4 times to notice that, I was thinking it was a build with top and bottom rolls.

Those KN-8F knobs looks pretty cool! I found a link to a pack of 100 on aliexpress (https://aliexpress.com/item/white-dot-push-on-type-plastic-skirted-control-knobs/1918312604.html). Too bad I just ordered a pack of 100 Davies 1900H (https://aliexpress.com/item/KN-1900H-S-DAVIES-1900H-Clone-pedal-volume-knobs-with-brass-insert/32639795410.html), or else I would give the KN-8F a try. They're even about the same price.

Marcos - Munky is right, there is only one row. Bottom row is for a comparison only :)
italianguy63 - thanks for pointing KN-8F knobs.

Good eye Munky!

No problem.  I am a big fan of the knobs you used on the "Bogner" a few pots prior too.  The "KN-1611" (below) has become my other go to knob.  Again real solid feel, and the diameter is a little more compact than the regular Davis knob.  It gives you more space to work with.

Thanks for sharing T!  You do class act work!

Is the layout available?

My TWE layout is here

The tayda KN-8F are pretty much my go to knob now for most of my builds, especially ones that have stupid amounts of knobs (ref: Megatron in an earlier post and Leviathan below)..

Other than those, I like their big aluminum knurled ones...

My favorite knob is 1900H, but I like "1611" too. Do you know brand/model of the knobs  from the pictures? Pic1, pic2.

The 1st one looks pretty MXR-ish.  I would bet Soviet surplus.  They look 60's-70's NOS.

Thanks a lot! What do you think of it's sound?

1st one looks MXR-ish to me too. No clue on the 2nd one. But Basic Audio is run by John Lyons, which is a member here, so he can answer this one.

I've used the KN-8F knobs just recently, on a Gristleizer build. Their skirt is large enough to cover the pot washer, looks fine to me. The version I got was for spline shaft pots.

I believe John Lyons mods his knobs to get that look - look at his PCBs too :)

I have some knobs like those in pic1, smaller than MXR, made of bakelite, with a set screw.  My favorite pedal knobs so far, but of course it depends on the size and layout what looks best.  I got them from Paul P (Chromesphere here).  His prices are very reasonable, including shipping from Oz to the US.

Hi! It`s my version of Friedman BE-OD pedal. I used C50k tight-control pot instead of C100k. It`s better for me.
I like this sound.

This was a bit of a squeeze. And not such a nice coat of clear...but it's just a prototype.

This stompbox is in Klon Centaur Schematics

Probably one of the more boring pedals you'll see here :P This is my fourth time building this stupid thing and I finally did it right. This is a simple A/B loop switcher, but with the added feature to run both loops together in series, A->B, like pretending the loop switcher isn't there. All the times I previously built it I did the A->B part wrong but this one is finally right. 8)

I like your pedals :icon_mrgreen:

Btw, where do you find those scripts?

vigilante397

Depends on the script, but usually google :P My pedalboard currently has two Mongolian script pedals and one Egyptian pedal, I decided Sanskrit would just kind of round it out.

And thanks ;D
