360 Bass Fuzz (thx to moosapotamus).
Project for the bass player of Frituur Paula.

This is one I started working on about 2 years ago, failed, gave up, picked up again, fixed the problems, and fell in love with. I call it the Lab Rat, it's a Rat distortion but the output buffer has been swapped for a 6N21B tube stage, and the other stage of the 6N21B is a clean boost on a separate footwsitch, so you can use the drive by itself, boost by itself, or drive cascaded into boost.

And gutshot:

Very cool!

But I am very curious about the underneath cream and surf green tolex thing... Is it an amp?
It looks very nice!

Some of my recent builds.

From left to right - ArchaicRockMachine (preamp by TrueVAL), Golden Pearl clone (Friedman), Fortin 33 clone, Mr Black BB-74x clone.  Mostly SMD. Gutshots in a "Show us your SMD stuff" thread :)

Thx.

Yes, what's underneath is an amp.
Posted some pics about it in 2017.

This was a straight up kit build.
I had nothing to do with the circuit design.
I had nothing to do with the enclosure design.
So, why am I posting it?
1) It was a difficult build that I'm proud to have finished (there were some extremely tight spaces for a soldering iron to navigate).
2) It is a very cool circuit.  It's like a Swiss army knife pedal. You can run three pedals in parallel or series (even in a circle), filter and mix the pedals however you like (including a dry blend), turn any pedal into a momentary stomp, and probably a bunch of other stuff. It's like 25% as cool as a burst box!  :icon_cool:

Technical difficulties.  Please stand by.

My very first pedal build from scratch. A Bearhug compressor that worked right out of the gate. Thanks Jon!

Here's one that I almost forgot about!  It's madbean's "Pork Barrel" CE-2 clone.  It didn't work when I first put it together, so it's been languishing on a shelf waiting for me to debug.  Like a year or so...   :icon_rolleyes:   Turned out I'd completely mullered one of the pots - soldered to the board first (wrong!) and then stressed it completely (i.e. into two pieces!) when I forced it into the not-quite centred holes I'd drilled.  :icon_redface:  No wonder it didn't work!  Anyway, here it is at last, and working fabulously now.   :D

Here's another chorusy one.  It's the aion take on the Dimension-C.  Kevin's design squeezes it into a 125B and forgoes the original radio buttons, since they're impossible to get.  But I found a set and had to squeeze it into something a bit bigger to accommodate the larger hardware.  I've not calibrated it properly yet, but it already sounds fab.  (I have the Digital Dimension, and this sounds very reminiscent.)

Managed to find time to take pictures of a few more I finished this weekend and last.  First up is a brace of Sam's designs: the Lightspeed compressor and the Decompression overdrive.

And two more... first is a Folk Driver.  Finally is a pedal that I'm sure Nathan will find shocking that I've only just now added to my collection - a RAT, on another of Kevin's boards.  (Deep breaths, Nathan, deep breaths...)

So, the empty socket compresses, and the populated socket decompresses?  I'll have to try that sometime.

(sorry)

Ha ha!  Yeah, I knew someone would spot that one.   ;D   At least I put the chip in place between the photo shoot and testing it!  (Yep, forgot it once before... :icon_redface:)

I like your enclosures, are these off the shelf or do you make them yourself?

Handmade. 1mm aluminum sheet (10 cm x 21 cm) folded in a U-shape. Two U-brackets fixed inside to the head and bottom of the enclosure so I have 2  lids on each side on which I can secure the wooden side-pannels. Doing so, I get enclosures of 10cm by 11cm and 3.7cm height.
