My friend actually named the pedal, i made it for him cuz he just went through a pretty rough divorce. He didn't like my name, "consolation prize"  ;)

Well, here's my main pedal,
the only one distortion i've ever used playing live

its a modded tripple fuzz, so it can make my bass sound like ..a chainsaw? synth? anyway, its a truly great weapon (you know, it's not the prettiest pedal, but it has its own story... the box is made of a JVC vcr, has only volume -so its ALWAYS at max gain-, and its decorated with paper tape and  a swirly ..thing.. at the top, i think it has attitude  ;D )

here are pictures of my lefthanded basses.
The fretless one is my new bass ;)

great looking BMP!!! is that just circles brushed into the alluminum then coated with a translucent paint?

Thanks for the kind words. This was my first finished enclosure.

I copied the idea from another member. I sanded the box with 80, 120, 220 on a flat surface. Then chucked a wire brush in the Dremel and went over the surface a few times till I came out with the scalloped pattern. (My daughter says it looks like fish scales) I then sprayed 3 coats Dupli-Color Metalcast (http://www.duplicolor.com/products/metalcast.html)(from Shucks) Red and 3 coats of clear.

I was very tempted to draw a pi symbol on it with a white paint pen but my wife talked me out of it. She said it would detract from the finish. I am starting to agree. So blank it will stay. At least until I can find some nice white labels for the knobs.

Now I have the five others to do. There are 6 more colors to chose from. Smoke, purple, green, yellow, orange and blue. I wish I could find the orange and green locally. They only have a few colors in the store nearest me. So I will have to keep hunting.

My latest pedals.  Mr. EQ, Zombie Chorus, UltraFlanger, Rebote 2.5 Delay and the Voodoo Lab.  All great sounding.

don't believe in foot switches? they are nearly half of the cost of a pedal :S
Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

Here's a new fuzz I finished today.  I call it the Shitzu.  It's small, hairy and loud.

http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album49?page=2

It's a Fuzz Face variant (what isn't).  It doesn't have the traditional fuzz face gain control, just wide open.  But It does have a 100k pot on the front end wired as a variable resistor so you have a little gain control.  Instead of the usual 10k trimpot on q2, I used a regular 10k lin pot in series with a 1k resistor.  You can dial in smooth bassy fuzz, loose nasty fuzz, and get close to that blown speaker almost gating fuzz.

I'll post a schem when I get one drawn up.  Nothing really innovative here and it sort of morphed out of my plutonium fuzz which was inspired by Fuzz Central's Axis face.

My first etching job.  :icon_redface: and I learned... anyways. As you might have read used picture paper for the etch, which went fine. Etched too long and sanded without the little block to get the lettering out, so the paint got damaged. The nature of the lettering too wasn't making the job easy, something simpler next time...

The multicolor design I'm quite happy with and was easy to do with some masking.

It's a boosterbox meant as a birthdaypresent for my friend Giah, hence the somewhat cryptic Gran G's Supa Spinta (Big G's Super Booster).

Now it looks like an 'aged' stompbox,

Hey zjokka,
I like that used pedal look.  That could be a whole new concept.  Build a pedal line where they look like old pedals even though they're new.  Moto : new sound with a vintage look.  The subtle wear at certain points on the pedal really makes it look like it's been out on tour.  Cool pedal.

KerryF

yea rjokka.  I really like that look too.  It looks really nice.
