thanks all of you  ;D.  I ordered the kit with everything, but completely unassembled.  Make sure you specify unassembled.  This has to be one of the best amps I have tried so I am very happy.  Tones of the classic Plexi and JCM800 because of its Master Volume.  I also made an attenuator to crank the Normal channel.

Niks kits are very, very nice!  Came with all JJ tubes and great everything.  I definately recommend him and he is GREAT to communicate with.

^-Yea got it from Ceriatone.  Lots of progress pictures and sound clips here: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=52699.0 .  New video clips from today!  Ceriatone use nice quality parts (Mallory Caps, Carbon Comp Resistors, JJ Tubes, JJ Can Cap, Nice switches, etc...)

jonathan perez

how did it cost you?

I dont want to keep this thread off topic, but it cost me $525 about (including shipping which was $75!!).  This included everything like the tubes, transformers, Aluminum chassis (not the steel one), face plates, knobs, wire, etc... everything I possibly needed.  Check the thread.

rockgardenlove

75 bucks shipping is ridiculous IMO.

jonathan perez

sounds about right to me...but...

for a plexi100?

I WONT ARGUE WITH THAT!!!!!!!

75 is ridiculous, but its from Malasia (or something) and the transformers weigh a ton!  Buts actually the 18watt TMB I built.  Not the Plexi100.  Deifinately worth it IMO, but you wont be able to go back to pedals, as you wont get the same type of satisfaction...  :-\

jonathan perez

i plan on building the plexi100

Agreed.  Pedals are just a gateway drug.

Unfortunately I ran outta dough so I had to step back down to pedals.

;)

Marty, is that Squeezer one of the reissues or did you actually find a similiar enclosure somewhere?

I've always liked your 100-pedal-pictures. :D Can you tell the percentage of how many are actually in use (of both your DIY and vintage pedals)?

Many in use, around 5/6 given away or sold.

^-Kerry as in me  ;).  In reference to this: http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album117

Anyway, I just finished another pedal today.  I have had it finished for a bit, but hadnt boxed it up.  But now I did.  Its the Phase 45 with Univibe mods and stuff.  I used a Radio Shack metal enclosure and wetsanded it so it has those wet-sanding circles.  I like how it looks.

^-My new avatar too.

Very fun pedal.  Great for enhancing cleans.  :)

I guess it's about time I put up a pic of one of my builds. This is my latest and greatest build (so it's worth showing off)... a Tube Screamer!
