^-Funny how you compliment me now Ron...  ::)

With the Roboamp, I have put the Volume pot under that flap as his "privates"  :icon_lol:.  and I am routing out space in the thigh for the input and outputs.

Kerry, I got no gripe with you other than what I posted in that other forum. The fact is I think it's damn cool what you want to do and I respect the imagination and energy you've put into it. There's a long way between "cool robot" and .... Uhh, you know.

Anyway, cool robot.

The shop I work for bought out the service shop from Emu when the got out of the hardware business. Among the parts and equipment was a mascot of theirs a Teddy Ruxpin that had been worked over by the most brilliant sickoes every to build a sampler. Frightening.

Now that's cool as hell!! I'm a sucker for anything with old movie monsters on it.... probably from being raised on Famous Monsters of Filmland magazines!!!

Also gotta give a hats off to SFR's modular pedal design. That's something I wished I would've thought of doing when I started.... would have saved a lot of money and extra work on finishing enclosures!!

Unclerny,

You pedals look really great.  Where do you get those aluminium top plates?  Are they etched / t-shirt transfer / decals & clear coat?

I'm impressed by the pro look!

Hi everyone! I've been reading posts on this forum for severel mounths back. I'm very grateful for many useful info that I found here. Here are some pics of some
pedals that I've built : octave multiplexer "http://www.box.net/public/5vm8ptprrh" ,  shocktave harmonizer "http://www.box.net/public/e0kys5lofi"  ,
OPAmp Big Muff  "http://www.box.net/public/x6269btrq3"  ,  small stone  "http://www.box.net/public/88t4nom6cr"  ,  blue box  "http://www.box.net/public/8qm32i596s".

I sort of came up with the idea, but inspired by the rack-type units in one of Anderton's books.  I never did anything with it until I was further inspired by the steel-stud enclosures and "Jimi-in-a-box" at Geofex.  There's also been a couple of these by other members at the forum posted here as well.  (One of them with classy finished on the plates echoing the original designs of the enclosures from the original circuits it was based on.)  I wish I could remember who did the other ones - they were quality work.  I think mine isn't nearly as nice, but it works great for my needs.

I picked up all the metal at the local scrapyard - when I'm finished, I'll have two enclosures the size of what you see here, housing maybe a dozen effects; the whole shebang costing me less than a 1590BB.  Of course, more fabrication time is involved.  I've picked up a lot of bits of scrap that can be easily made into enclosures with a little bit of work for very cheap.  Scrap yards are your friends.

I'm probably going to change a few things up inside so I can swap panels without any tools.

Thanx people! Well, for octaver mplx I used poplar plywood (4 mm), it is my first wooden enclosure. I drew all the parts on the board (while it was in 1 piece), then cut it, and put it all together (like lego  ;D). I used (I think ordinary) glue for wood. It took me about 2 or 3 hours to do that.... This is how it looked :
As for graphics, it's hand drawn and then engraved with small drilling machine I use to drill holes on my PCBs. The big muff was was pretty much the same except I did those thin pieces of wood (beech) on my own and glued them on aluminium enclosure..
The small stone enclosure, it was joystick (I hope that's the word...).  I bought it on a fleamarket for about 0.8 euro  ;D. I just could not resist not to
box my phaser it it...
Blue  box, I bought the enclosure on the fleamarket too  ;). It was some kind of alarm for garage or something...It asked a lot of arm power with sand paper (600 I think)...

hmhmhm... I just don't know how to send pictures..... ???

Here is my new treble booster :)

I used transparent stickers for the design, as they are really cheap and don't need any clear coating.

That looks so cool. I posted it to my gearpron blog.
