Papa_lazerous

I was just showing my Dad the pics of how professional some of these stompers look, and he said "Bloody hell that ones called the C U next tuesday Driver"  I personally think it needs removing its a little offensive.

Yes and yes!!

Pedal Parts Plus does a fantastic job, but the pics on the site does not do their work justice.

Hanes, I dig the use of the "Goo" cover. And as far as the cu*% Driver goes, it's art in my opinion and it has its place.
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

My wife had a hard time with the name Creampie as a booster.....and as I recall it caused a bit of a stir here as well but,
Imagine the look on her face if I came home with this thing!  :icon_lol:

christobean

it may be a bit offensive for somewhere like this, but imagine how many you could sell if you sold them outta your trunk at a metal concert or bar  :P

hannes

My sincere apologies to people who are offended by that one picture above.
Since English isn't my native language, I guess it simply sounds less offensive to my ears and I didn't even consider the fact that it might offend people.
I would remove it but apparently you can't edit your own posts?
All of these pedals (except for the looper) are the same circuit (the "Manta Ray"), I just offer the possibility to order them with your own custom artwork.
The weird sounding names are all band names, if you are interested you can check out these bands (all located in Gent, Belgium) through my myspace.
I use clear decal paper for the plain red ones and black t-shirt iron-on paper for the custom ones...

markm

What is the "Manta-Ray".....is it an original circuit?

 Q Where'd they go?
 A Out the window !
Other than being letters that are notes about sounds, words may have some meaning, "that one can be interpreted as an invitation to knock a chip off a shoulder.
The word itself isn't really that gross sounding, but it bothers me that it is used to bother others, I would pretend to not understand this or keep it in a bag. Always was this way, first time I heard it I didn't have any societal information on it, it didn't mean much to me, I don't think what it refers to is dirty beyond what I've been taught to believe...what I know others to believe, and have seen arguements [initiated by C word] ranging from short to quite interesting and informative. ...most people I know are not open minded about the meaning of C.
  I'm able to modify/edit.
So..that's cool, kind of interesting way to learn about the use of the C word...
BTW The graphics are very well done, quite artistic !
Funny how a 'few+' letters which form words can get to mean so much...society seems to have put a 'kaka' stamp on some of them...but if you caun't use it what good is it?...lol...I suppose it is 'intended' as only to be used in closed circles where all parties concerned understand it as 'cool'.

Strange, my latest post has a "modify" button but the picture post doesn't...

The Manta Ray started out as a simple combination of the MXR distortion+ and the MXR micro amp, but then I added a tone control and a transistor recovery stage, switched to a dual opamp circuit, started using quality components and germanium diodes and finally ended up tweaking the circuit and changing most resistor and cap values. It's certainly nothing complicated but it sounds really good to my ears and somehow it got quite popular around here. I don't make any money with it though, I know most of the bands who ordered one personally and I only charge them for the parts (maybe that's why they all want one ;)).

Just for the record I would like to add that I didn't pick that "c u next tuesday driver" name personally, although I certainly didn't feel ethically opposed to building it either...

Anyway, I forgot to say thanks for the comments in my previous post.

MartyMart

Great name !!
I personally LOVE the "Creampie" and Hairy Andy's "Beef Curtains" too  !!  :icon_mrgreen:
I dont have the "gaul" to put that kind of name on my own stuff, the "Fat Boostered" is about
as "lurid" as I get  !!

Powder coated with copper vein, then silk screen lettering with enamel ink then clear coat powder. have to use enamel ink so it can withstand the 400 degree bake of the clear powder.
