The switch connect to the top of the box and is helll ridgid by the bushhing and two nuts.
The board shouldn't move at all once those are tight.
No more movement than when mounted to the case anyother way.

You are right!
But I believe the actual vibration takes place below the ceiling of the enclosure. So most of the force tries to escape through vibration in the PCB board right?

I'm abotu to house a project into a Teko box but I'm afraid that the upright walls of the bottom parts might bend and slip to the sides and I might stomp the top part to ground. Is it sturdy enough for heavy stomping?

I guess the case will be alright, but it will bend when you stomp on it. It's very thin metal.

If anyone is interested, I'll post PCB layouts, the schematic, drill template and wiring diagram on my site--this is a somewhat challenging build but the results are very gratifying. My favorite distortion pedal ever.

I took a load of photos of my last 6 months's output today, but mostly they came out bad - the camera seetings had changed, and its a dark dingy afternoon in London.

Here are the best two - both in Eddystone boxes, done in the last 2 week.

Strangely perhaps, it's the first time I've used 3PDTs and LEDs - in the Linear Death* because it's for stage use by my pal in a (v good) band called  Deathline, and in the Bazz Fuss just to fill a hole on a recycled box. It's the first time I've paid serious attention to neatness on the insides too - takes longer but it's satisfying.



*Linear Death = a simplified Parallel Universe

I built two Thunderchiefs, one sunny side up,




the other sunny side down.

 


I had planned this several months back before the Thor announcement.

For awhile I was going to abandon the build.
I'm glad I didn't. THE THUNERCHEIF ROCKS.

I totally believe I'm getting a 50watt Marshall sound.
I has three settings for crunch, low, med and hi. All distorted.

The gain gets a bit thick and over-modulated after you pass 12-o'clock on the GAIN.
Sounds best with humbuckers.

GGG PCB.
Biased to 4.5 perfectly.
Shielded cable on jacks to switch, and switch to board. Normal noise for a hi-gain pedal.
Powder-coated enclosures.


If the Thunderchief is this good then THOR must be amazing!!!
