what is it? a booster?

what would be a good booster to build, just to give more volume during solos?
I would put it at the beginning of the chain, so I can put a buffer in it as well

My guess is a Silicon Fuzz, knowing AC and the things he loves to build. As for a good booster, use the search and you'll come up with hundreds of builds. One of my personal favorite clean boosts is the beginner project.

Silicon = stageworthy :D

helps keep the LED in place and protected, as well as helping with "strain relief" on the switch. In a normal box (Hammond), I wouldn't silicon the switch, but since this one is a Raco with part of the components on the lid and part in the box, the silicon just adds an extra bit of "insurance" against wires being pulled out when the battery is changed.

so here is my last finished pedal. i call it the Very F@#?ing Sh*!#Y pedal. it is actually dragonfly's montezuma. i didn't have any plans when i started to box it up.  the Sh2@#*y part is for the S control which controls how miss biased or saturated the effect sounds. i think it was a trim pot in the schematic i decided to bring it outboard. the crappy engraving helps to reinforce the theme. all and all i really like the sound of the pedal. you can get some cool lead tones but, since i don't do any lead crap it is gonna be a gift for my buddy.

p.s.- yes my wiring SUCKS, i'm working on it. also i'm gonna change the label on the inside to designed by dragonfly. i don't want anyone who should come across this to think that that is what his pedals look like inside(anyone who knows him doesn't need to be told) but, i do want credit to go where it belongs. also i don't want to forget what circuit it is.

I added a quick sound clip for this one.

I prefer it, because it keeps all of the circuit in the "lid" of the raco box.

It is also handy while recording. if you are "reamping" a signal through a pedal, it is easy to leave the heavy raco box next to your console and plug from the top.  I also like the way it looks on the floor. It sort of has a mad scientist look.

my 2 cents,

  The latest little addition to my amp:

  A metal Mercury magnetics decal !!
  BIG difference, the OT and speaker made the amp, a huge improvement over itself.

Bedankt, van waar ben je ergens?

There is a blue led between the pins of the tube. I had to drill in the plastic foot that holds the tube
