Still looks awesome though. I'd suggest using quad ruled office pad... the ones with 1/4" squares. You can get them at any office depot. You just trace the outline of the enclosure on the paper, cut it out, then tape it to the box. Then just get whatever sized punch you use to mark your holes. Works great.

If you use a step bit to drill just go a size bigger and it gives you room to move the pots enough to align them.
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

Vari-bit would be the next choice of bit I'd buy.
  Starting with a punch...
Or starting with a small-ish bit tends to be easier to keep on the dot.

What did I miss???    Nice Hot Harmonics.  My pedals look like Raco light boxes compared to this stuff....Oh...my pedals are Raco light boxes

This forum will not be threatened by this stuff. I'm putting a ban on both of these guys for a while so they cool down.

I hope the rest of you understand. These are VALUED members, but please, I can't let them act like this on this forum.

vari bits are quite expensive here in chile (if you are lucky to find one) ..
I did start with smaller bits..3mm, 5mm and 7mm..but..sometimes it just go wrong..is not a big deal anyway..

the graphics are done with metallic adhesive paper printed in laser..a LOT easer than transfer and cheaper than decals, and quite good lookin´!!!

AMZ Mini-Booster:

The finish didn't work out so well. I already dinged it.  :icon_redface:

Gut shot:

This is the first time I've had enough room to use standoffs to secure the board. Yay.

Nice work on that mini, moro. Love the design.

I can't remember the miniboost having that many diodes and a big pile of filtering though... using AC to power it?

[edit] ah yes, missed the IC. It's a 9V reg, right?

It's a MAX1044. I'm running the booster at 37V.

Barcode80

how are you getting 37v our of an 18v charge pump?

You can add more diodes and caps to get higher voltages:

I used your layout for the charge pump portion, btw. Thanks!

remmelt

How does it sound compared to 9v or 18v? A pedal @ 37v, not bad!

$uperpuma

that thing looks great. Care to share how you did the graphics? 37V..awesome. :)
