Still looks awesome though. I'd suggest using quad ruled office pad... the ones with 1/4" squares. You can get them at any office depot. You just trace the outline of the enclosure on the paper, cut it out, then tape it to the box. Then just get whatever sized punch you use to mark your holes. Works great.

If you use a step bit to drill just go a size bigger and it gives you room to move the pots enough to align them.

i did!!, and i used a template..but the drilling wasnt very clean..maybe i need new bits...

vari bits are quite expensive here in chile (if you are lucky to find one) ..
I did start with smaller bits..3mm, 5mm and 7mm..but..sometimes it just go wrong..is not a big deal anyway..

the graphics are done with metallic adhesive paper printed in laser..a LOT easer than transfer and cheaper than decals, and quite good lookin´!!!

It's a MAX1044. I'm running the booster at 37V.
