you can get those from Jaycar as well $1.20 per in quantities of 10 or more. shipping is about $7 to the states but you more than make up for it by paying half for the knob.

Here's an abreviated Trotsky Drive/Electra Overdrive - with the knobage controlling collector bias; Tropical Fish swimming both to and fro in this one:

This is a Hammond 1590A enclosure; the LED is next to the 3PDT and the top of the dome is flush with the top of the enclosure.

What is that black ring in the middle left hand side of it (beneath the circuit board) ?

The black ring you see is a rubber filler for a hole that's there.  In another life, this enclosure was a switchable loop - didn't use it any longer - wanted to build something in it - one too many holes, etc.

This is my Brian May Treble Booster with a 6 way input capacitor selector rotary switch.  It is a great sounding pedal.

What makes a Tonebender different from a Facebender? Whats the mini toogle do?

Basically it's a Tonebender MKII. The toggle switch allows you to bypass the Tonebender boost section (the first transistor). With this transistor out you basically have a Fuzz Face. Very nice feature for those who like to save some space on their pedalboard.

Its a mod that basically makes the Tonebender switchable to a Fuzz Face...

Great work everyone! Really inspiring 
You just re-lit the spark in me. I was quite busy writing my thesis and settling down in my first job. Besides gigging with my band, of course...
But now I can already hear my parts bin and soldering iron calling me from down in the basement... "use us, uuuuuse us..." 

Here's my humble contribution to this thread:
It's a foXX tone machine I built about half a year ago. I found a bag full of mirror pieces in a arts&crafts store. Looks quite cool on stage with both LEDs lit up (blue and amber)!

Here's a picture with the LEDs on. I should probably change the current-limiting resistor before the blue LED.. It's almost too bright.




@ambulancevoice: I'm assuming guttiwuts = guts? ... and I'm assuming you're referring to me 
I'm almost ashamed.. it's really crammed in this enclosure -- looks nasty. It's all stripboard. I took the layout over at fuzzcentral, cut the board in two pieces, connecting the necessary traces with wires and stacked both parts.
