My ax84.com HO build - a little buzzy and has some weird ticking sound going on but it distorts like crazy and has that REAL tube OOOMPH!! 

I have a Marshall VS-80 and compared to that my HO (about 7-10 watts) sounds way more beefy and has a real thump to it.  I wire my speaker in the VS-80 (some kind of Eminence OEM speaker) to a switched cliff socket.  Jack in: wired to external source, Jack out: wired to VS-80 output. 

Anyway, just need to debug some of the hum and figure out where the ticking is coming from.

Planning to enclose it in a head cab and build a 1x12 speaker cab for it (or should I do a 2x12?...).  My brother is the wood worker so I'm going to get him to help.
