Hm... that would still be a tight fit.  Anyone know of a circuit with fewer than maybe 6 components?

Bazz Fuss or Buzz Box.

Fabulous! While you're at it; see if you can get a battery in there as well  :icon_mrgreen:
Seriously though - very nice job with all those wires.

I think a battery might be pushing it a bit.  :icon_biggrin:

The proto doesn't have a LED, but the next one will. Believe it or not I have room for a 3pdt. And the thing actually closes.

This could be a stompbox, but what could fit in here?

It would be pretty tight, but I bet something could fit in there... nothing much more than a single transistor boost, and it would have to be all point-to-point, for sure.  Any ideas?

Negistrem or Negisrton  with resistors i.s.o trims and with fix rate ?

Smokey amp ? That's just two caps and a 386.

A fuzz/boost prototype I'm working on. This thing is a monster. A 1590B sized monster though.

holy hell!!!!  :icon_eek: do you got a schem about this one???

A mock-up of essential parts showing the extremely tight layout:

how about this?

You won't find a schematic for this one.

Down with pretty pedals, let the minimalist revolution begin  :)

+6!

finally couldn`t resist labeling them, however:

That'll work.  The name clinches it.  This was pretty much what I was imagining, thanks!

Post some pics... I keep wondering if it will all fit

My attempt at a swirly finish.. A Crunch Box (from madbean's vero) with exterior clipping leds... the finish is a little uneven, but I'm happy with my first attempt..

Nice, EVH meets Salvador Dali.

Can you see the clipping LEDs flash in bright room lighting?
If yes, can you tell me the mdc value/forward voltage of them?

I didn't have any luck getting clippers to light up bright enough to show on the outside of the enclosure.
Sure sounds like a cool idea though.
It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.

Yes, I can see the leds flash/clip in room lighting. They light up almost as bright as the led indicators of my other effects.. They are 5mm, 2,0 mcd, 2,0V red leds..

Pare! ;D

It's not quite as pretty but it works!!!    I used a bunch of shielded wire and ran out of places on the board to ground them all so thats what the free floating perfboard is...

ps...sorry about my crappy camera phone... Anybody got any schems for a better one?  :D

Hope you don't mind if I copy your "technique" :)

John Blund

ianmgull, looks alot better than my builds. I usually just connect to nearest ground point and thus getting ground loops and noise  ;D gotta start using star ground and shielded wire! anyway I just finished my ruby amp AKA the psychoblaster  ;D

I had no idea it would be so loud. And it sound alright even if the speaker is just hanging in the air!

birt

that's the coolest ruby i've seen in a long time. a worn looking box with a funny big speaker coming out of it. simple yet great.

That is freaking cool. Reminds me of something Dano12 would do.
Very creative!
