Here is my Stevie Ray Vaughn TS808.  Sorry about the poor quality.   I will try this again another day.  Also, don't know if this will work as I am new to Image Shack.   I used to use Photobucket but can't seem to Upload anything.

6ak5 tube distortion, based on metasonix's Scrotum smasher.

That thing looks mean :)

purkka, I love how your pedal is painted...Metallic Sparkle rocks...
BTW, did you paint the switch washer too? Didn't it get ruined by locking it?!
thanks :)
Yes, i painted washer too. and.. it has some small scratches  :( i tried to hold nut and washer in place while i turned the switch around,
worked really nicely until my monkey wrench slipped..
I painted the box first with metallic black, and then sprayed some metallic copper lightly on top of black.. if anyone is interested..

I dont yet have a box to try this But I want to seea backlit control knob on a pedal. I think that would be cool.

Ok, so I've noticed we all like light emitting borders here (hence the tutorial I wrote :D) but I got bored with it, so I decided to do something new...
Does this tutorial exist or am I just not that good at searching?

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

I think the plexi is over the top and the led just under through the aluminium box. So the letters are trace in the plexi...But we can see it on the picture because...

Thanks.

Shhhh, he's all mine!

I have 15 of these being made - slightly differently - the back end has straight corners and the front curved.

Mick does excellent work!

They also have a nice battery compartment, board mounted pots, board mounted 3PDT and the offboard wiring is a 2.54mm pitch IDE cable. I will make gut shots and post them when I have time.

Swirl finish feedback looper with slow colour change LED and copper washer

I'm not sure if I prefer it with the copper washer or without.

The switch position isn't changing the LED colour, it's one of those two-lead auto colour cycling RGB LED's aka:
Embarrassingly Easy Case Mod LEDs http://www.dansdata.com/gz065.htm  :D

I'm driving it with 2xAAA batteries, so it should take AGES to go flat - I did a test run for 24 hours and they still had heaps of juice left.

Thanks to Dragonfly for the swirl technique and to Dano for the circuit layout.

Oh wow.. I can't believe I've read this thread 'till the end. From the early computer-mouse boxes, to cardboard, to laughter-inducing bananas, to the mid-thread plexi-LED-bottom war, to tutorials being thrown from everywhere, to the overwhelming visual effects in the impressive work by reigning champs Andy and John (just to mention a few). :D
So much inspiration in.. so many pages. :D

As soon as my crappy NPN Booster enclosure has a few more layers of clear-coat, and I've stuffed everything inside it, I'll finally contribute. ;D

Mind you, it's the enclosure and not the booster that stinks! :D

Now that's a good point...We can easily build a good working circuit on perf or vero, some etches the PCBs too, but when it gets to their enclosures, you see how a good circuit is just thrown into a awful enclosure...My point of view is that a diy box should appeal both ears and eyes, but as you may have read or seen, some think the opposite...
In my little diy experience, I try to build a good circuit and put it in the best looking enclosure...aND i jUST lEARNT A lOT fROM tHIS vERY tOPIC
