Anyways, I haven't contributed to this thread in a long time.  Here's my latest builds, AMZ Mosfet boost (orange) and TS 808 (obviously the green one  )

Don't mind the "epic fx" at the bottom, I put these on as a "signature", I'm not trying to take credit for the design of these pedals.  Just signature so that people know I built the pedal.  I don't sell them either.

I like them both man! I love seeing thicker gauge wire in pedals...

Any mods on the screamer?

Nope, no mods.  I built both as a favour to a friend, and he request the screamer to be stock.  Otherwise, I would have thrown in a few keeley mods myself.  The thicker gauge wire adds a little mojo to the pedals 
It's "vintage" wire, pulled from a 60's console tube stereo unit.  Just doing my part to stay green.

I really like those little tube pedals, I've got to build me one.  The holes you put in for ventilation are really cleanly cut too. Great job!

Just a couple of hand files and a little patience..................they are very neccesary though - the big light blue resistors (2 x 10 ohm +/-5% 3 watt in series with the tube heater - to give the heater 6.3 volts from 12 volt supply) on the left get even hotter than the tube!

Yup tube tremolo. It's a 6111 tube: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=70160.0

..........but it could be built using a 12AU7 if you don't want 'compact' ...............and 'HOT'!

Yes, IIRC, I read the beginning of the that thread, however I didn't get to the part with the new 6111 schematic. I was just assuming the 12AU7 because it's based on the valvecaster, which I should build as well.

You could just build the Valvecaster with the Vibracaster oscillator as an add-on - just one tube and five knobs.

'Gain'....'Tone'....'Speed'....'Depth'....'Volume'

With 'Depth' at minimum it works just the same as a 'stock' Valvecaster.

It's actually ten way cable - ten different colours. I bought a load years ago - I'm just getting to the end of it. The supplier I used no longer stocks it - I saw some on Ebay a while back though.

I was quite happy with my decals.. In Soviet Russia Pedal Stomps You, Grit, Amplitude, Music Maker (input), Sound Box (output).



Yikes... I was into the mentallity of "Getter er done while building this one"


Tried a bunch of different transistors in this one... In the end I grabbed a metal can from my bag of random but cool looking transistors. It is labelled NTE 123A 044L..... It has a hFE of 150. It was the nicest I thought and made the grit control the most effective.

First time using a decal. Only inkjet printer I could get access to wasn't as good quality as I had hoped, so Jesus' hair got a little streaky.
