Mr. Dragonfly, o my good God, have you stricken again! How did you do this one? Cotton balls?

My bet is that this is a white base, glued-on dehydrated jellyfish, and a clear coat lol.

That's a pretty sweet finish, man. Good job.

just a new paint job, no electronics.

my 4MS tremulus lune took a bad fall down nearly a flight of stairs to the sidewalk a few days ago, cracking the aluminum case mostly in two. thankfully the electronics were unharmed (though I had to replace one of the jacks). a store in town carries just about every hammond enclosure there is so finding the same size was not a problem. a bit of drilling and some painting later, I went from this paintjob, to this:

the previous was kind of the custom paintjob I asked for, so its a shame. but these things happen right? it allowed me to try new painting tricks and styles, and going for a new look. I used acrylic paints with sponges and wads of kleenex to dab it on, along with lazertran decals, some permanent marker and highlighter.

That's a whole lot of knobs! Very nice build!
To those about to rock, we salute you.

The new version of DIY Layout Creator is out, check it out here

Here's a couple of new ones from the bench:

Orange Squeezer with bass mods.

Sparkle Boost in a 1590A enclosure.

This was my first build going directly from a schematic.  Drew up the PCB on the DIY Layout Creator.  Had to squish everything in a little bit to get it to fit on the board, but it ended up working out great.  Also was my first time using a 1590A enclosure.  DAMN!  Talk about a tight fit!  I'm really pleased with the end result, though, and the best part is that it fired up on the first try!

I dig your style. That Micro Boost is rad. Do you think you might share the layout?

Nice, cool graphics, very clean.

Oh, and where did you get those smaller knobs?

Here is an enclosure that will soon be a rangemaster with a clean boost. ( I just put the jacks and stuff in so you all could see it).

My first decal job was OK until I found my 4049 based distortion needed a fuzz control. Oh well I guess the next one will be perfect  ::)

After I successfully breadboarded the Rick Holt (frequencycentral) PENTABOOST, decided to draw a vero layout by myself, now in my gallery, and decided to build and box it somehow...Found a little wooden box at Leroy Merlin while shopping for spray cans, so I thought "WHY NOT?!"  :icon_lol:
So here it is...It uses a 5678 tube and it's powered by a 9V and a 1.5V AAA for the heaters.

Done an' workin'=Too many to mention - Tube addict!

I don't like standard swirls paint jobs, but that one looks awesome! Tell us more on how you did it!
