Finished up my overdrve prototype, and it's pretty nice, except for using some odd/incorrect tapers and values for the pots! (I needed/wanted to use board mounted pots and all I had were two b100k)

Hey, here are the pics of my finished Space-Time Continuum (from experimentalistanonymous.com. This was my first graphics transfer, so it's a little rough, but I learned a lot, and the next one should be better...sorry about the fingerprints :)

If you want to check out all the pics from the project, here's a link to the thread:

Hey, another Hoosier!
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

jacobyjd

Oh no...no. I'm not a Hoosier...I've just lived in this state for the past 6 years  :icon_biggrin: I'd never admit to being a Hoosier  :icon_lol:

My PA family might disown me if I did  :icon_wink:

Actually, if I remember right, I think we might be sending you a copy of our EPK or our cd or something, so yeah, we're not too far away :)

I've lived here my entire life, but I don't exactly have a Hoosier flag in the front yard so no problem there. I'll check out your music online, but definitely send us something too!

Heres my russian big muff

This is my orange comp. I sanded and shined it, but wasn't super dedicated to the effort, so you can still see some scratches. I was also afraid to go deeper because as you can see, I started rubbing the N in SUSTAIN out. (by the way, it modded with a bigger input cap for my bass and it obviously has a sustain control.)

I've also built a talkbox, ts808, and a A/B box.....i'll eventually post those pics.

Incidentally, a lot of people here seem to like the calibrated dial around the knob in the Volumizer. You can actually buy these surrounds in electronics shops here in Taipei. I'll see if I can buy a few different ones and post a pic for you all to see. I basically found that particular surround, really liked it, and designed the rest of the Volumizer decoration around it.

Hey guys, I finally got round to buying some more of those dials and took some pics for you to see. Set of five cos me 25nt$. That's about US$0.75.

azrael

^Man, those look neat! Where can I get some? :D

  'Eleven, these go to eleven'.
Dial that goes all the way to 100...that has to be louder than just 10.

i think there are some things that can be left off of this picture thread, and that's pictures of naked people.

it's called pornography.

i dont think it's appropriate to post something like what i saw a page back on a public forum that children can, and do see.

i appreciate everyone's hard work here on the forum, but i think there are a few things that don't have to be shown.

Not the best photo, but I thought of posting it anyway. Sensored F**kface! The son of Fuzzface and Colorsound fuzz. Fixed gain and controls for volume and bias. Goes from Velcro-type fuzz to smooth sustain and cleans up with guitar's volume very well. Very versatile fuzz with a reference to Judge Dredd, my all time favorite comic character.

I personally disagree on your definition of what constitutes Pornography. Perhaps you could start a seperate thread to gauge the feelings of other board members on the subject you`ve brought up.

It is generally accepted in most workplaces that any nudity and/or anything that could be construed as inappropriate should be somehow tagged as NSFW (not safe for work).

Basically anything you wouldn't show the average mom :)

Frankly, I'd rather not have any surprise nudity showing up on my screen, as I generally check in on this forum at work. That would make for some awkward explanation should it be seen by anyone else I work with, and for a lot of people--it would mean a loss of their jobs.

If you have something that you want to post that has nudity or anything else that someone might consider inappropriate, please give them the option to not view it--by posting a link to your photo, then clearly labeling it as NSFW.

It would be appreciated by a lot of people, and it's just good web etiquette.

lol...I acidentally clicked out of the text box and hit 'space', so this was posted incomplete initially...there's the rest of it :)

The issue is not really where it is posted or whatnot, the issue is with society imo.

Its a tit, get over it....

It is what it is, sure--my suggestion is from the perspective that is most often taken in this particular online community: Everyone here tends to be very helpful and friendly...let's keep it that way.

Sure, post a link to a pic of a stompbox you're proud of even if it could be a bit...controversial--nobody should stop you from doing that--I'm simply suggesting that taking a few extra seconds to keep your pic requisitioned to an outside link and making sure anyone who clicks on it will know that it's NSFW will go a long, long way with a lot of people, myself included.

As for getting over it--that's not a problem for me or a lot of people...however, I know my boss wouldn't get over it very quickly. It would really suck to be ostracized from a community because I couldn't go there with a reasonable assurance that there was nothing there that could be construed as offensive...you know?

please everyone set this as your home page:

http://www.atr-lang.com/data/media/1/Advisory%20Nudity-%20next%20few%20post%20might%20contain%20partial%20nudity.jpg

I think it's totally unappropriate to complain about a beautiful picture of a beautiful woman/icon used in an artistic context as the pictures gallery..
1st. this is not pornography. this is nudity. nothing a 10years old kid would be shoked by... kids go around naked all the time...
2nd. this is internet, not school, not the public library... everyone can find real pornografy in just two clicks of the mouse... today you censor a pair of tits here... tomorrow what? burn and tear down all 15th century's paintings and sculptures with naked people? those you are suggesting your sons to study and get interested in because that's classic culture...
2nd*. even in public libraries you can find more explicit nudity.... not to mention magazines, TV shows, commercials .... everywhere!!!

ok, that's only 2 points... I thought I could find more...  :P

Edited because of crappy english... ::)
