Here are my last three builds.  Roadhog Fuzz (aka Andy's Simple Fuzz), Matsumi SRV Special, and a '77 DOD OD-250 with Gus NPN Booster.  I've been using Krylon triple thick glaze for my clear coats with some surprisingly good results.  All three of these have 3 coats with 30 minute flash times in between.  The only setback is you have to let it sit for at least 3 days before you touch it or you'll leave fingerprints.



and here's a gut shot of the OD250/ Gus Booster.  This is sadly the cleanest wiring job I've done so far!



Sorry for the mediocre pics.  My good camera is incapacitated at the moment.  Had to use the wife's el cheapo.
Now to figure out how to mount two battery holders in the OD250 box...any suggestions?

go to radioshack and go to the battery conectors or holders. if you look you can find metal brackets to hold 9Vs. they might come in two a pack. Just super glue them by the out side, on the inside of the box. make sence?

I've used those before, but the batteries just don't seem to fit right in them.  I found some at smallbear that I'm going to order up and try.  Thanks

I haven't posted here because none of my stuff is usually at all interesting visually. But this, this is just too damn cute. Hard to photograph with a polished top and dull polish on the sides, but still a pedal that makes you say awwww.







I'm real afraid someone will copy my design. So be sure to not give away any secrets.

I've used pieces of bicycle inner tube and heavy duty Velcro tape to mount batteries in an enclosure. You need an inner tube with about a 30mm cross section/diameter the length of the battery and a piece of Velcro tape the same length. Slip the inner tube sleeve over your battery and stick the tape to the sleeve. the mating piece of the Velcro then gets stuck to the enclosure in an appropriate spot. Looks like you can put a battery on either side of your board. Haven't had any problems with anything coming loose. You can mount alot of batteries with one old inner tube and a pack of Velcro tape.

Usually the Jumbo Tonebender was fitted with BC184 (silicon).

BC184C's to be exact.  The Jumbo Tone Bender is similar to a Big Muff. I was going for authenticity with the caps. Colorsound used tropical fish caps a lot as seen in this pic : http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/TheZonkMachine/Supa_in2.jpg.
