Maybe not the prettiest pedals in this thread, but :

A personal overdrive and a LPB1 boost mod.

LOFOMOFO Lofi pedal

Hey, how does the Lofomofo sound for you?  I breadboarded it once and just couldn't get it to sound the way I wanted.  Any soundclips by any chance?

Regardless, they all look great!

Heres the sound clip:

Just uploaded so it may still be processing (11:45pm PST).  Real quick demo whipped up on my Zoom H4.

Mike, thanks for the soundclip!  Yours sounds MUCH better than mine did.  When I tried mine it just sounded like a distorted mess that wasn't very pleasent to hear.  Yours sound more lofi.  I guess I'll have to try again.

My 2nd BSIAB. Awsome awsome pedal. This one's going to a friend, but I can't wait to build another one for me. This one has 2n5457, instead of J201. I like it better than mine!

Hi guys,

here are few pics of my current work-in-progress. It's a 1U rack that holds four effects, a power supply and relay control for the effects. The FX boards are (from left to right) all from BYOC; Overdrive (TS808), Envelope Filter, Triboost And Compressor.

The power supply has two regulators (both +12V). One for the relays and one for the effects. The relays are controlled by this footswitch (with nice dual color LEDs). These two boards I made with Eagle and ordered them etched from a small finnish PCB business.

Will throw in the picture of the front panel tomorrow after the clear coat has dried up. I think I managed to spoil it... I didn't sand down the paint, so there are quite a lot of small air bubles under the decal.

You guys make some nice looking stuff here!  Do most of you use transparencies for graphics, or decals or something else?

Here's my latest build.. and the first pedal I made in about 20 years!  It's a Brassmaster clone, using the GGG PCB.  I removed the Brass filter switch the other day because it didn't do much, and every time I opened the pedal to try mods to get it working, the wires wound break off (it's a tight squeeze in there) and I got tired of fixing them for nothing in return.  ;)

It's simple and black.

This is a TS based pedal - I took out the buffers and changed a few values, then added toggles for mid hump (which also flips the LED between blue and red) and clipping combos (I think it's 4148/LED or BS250s as the options) and the concentric pot does sag and feedback.

That's a beauty! I love the knobs, especially the dual concentric, first time I've seen one on a stompbox. I've thought about using them before for 'knob heavy builds' - so where are you getting them from? And presumably that knob is specialist too?

That looks good!  The gloss, the knobs, the asymmetric footswitch placement, all great.  But it would look even better with a chrome washer instead of nylon under the footswitch.  Nice job!

Done an' workin'=Too many to mention - Tube addict!

Ta muchly. :)

The stripes are done with a finelining tape which makes them fairly easy. The concentric pot was (I think - I've had it for ages waiting to do something with it!) from www.axesrus.com and comes with the knob(s). I swapped out the wafers to get the values I wanted. The footswitch is off-centre so that a battery fits one side and the 9v jack the other.

And I do agree about the washer - but someone insisted on buying the pedal, so it is as it is.  :icon_lol:

Hello again!

As promised, here are some shots of the finished 1U rack, some details can be found in earlier post. The paint job was a bit problematic. I used acrylic paint and lacquer and apparently applied too thick layers. The finish is still a bit soft, so will have to be careful with it for some time. But overall I'm  quite happy with it, it is the first "pedal" I painted and decaled myself. Next time I'll know a) to use thin layers of paint and b) put less stuff on the front panel :icon_lol:

I think it's basically a big Fuzz Face breadboard with tranny choices, pots instead of fixed resistors, variable caps, ground and +ve multiples. Insane but nice.

Looks like the bastard offspring of a Multiface and a Paia Fatman (where's the MIDI?). The perfect holiday gift for the tinkerer who has everything (and looooves fuzz). Brilliant!
