my new dual stage opamp overdrive, with a bigmuff tone control and single clipping diode.

This may be my first post, but it's definitely not my first build.

Notice the painted knobs?

It started as a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive that I bought for $30, exclusively with the intent of modding, painting, and selling.

The mods: it's closest to being a Lovepedal Eternity with an LED/Si clipping section (LED+1N914 vs LED).  It sounds pretty sweet.  I can PM people the details if anybody's actually interested.  (PM me or I'll never notice the request!)

Same as the rest of it, using Dragonfly's swirl technique... just on a VERY TINY SCALE, with TINY BRUSHES and TINY TOOTHPICKS   :P

Thats a boss pedal I would be proud to have on my board, and those are few and far between. Good luck selling it!

Thanks.  As for selling it, I've already got about 3 people interested and I haven't even officially put it up for sale yet... I think it'll sell, because I'm charging a much too low price for it.  (I can afford to, since it only cost me $30!)

Sethj, your logo on the bottom edge of the box has to be one of the most clever logos I've seen....excellent stuff!! :icon_biggrin:

I cant figure it out. What does it mean?

Bensnap

One knob Montezuma Fuzz with a switch for input caps. My wife stamps cards for a hobby so she stamped a cupcake on it an dubbed it the "yummy cupcake"! It is my holy grail of fuzzes(until the next one at least)

Sound clips to come soon....

For me if I stare at it long enough it looks like a face.

Just finished this up for a friend of mine. It's a regular old tube screamer with SI and GE diodes. In front of it however is a LPB. He plays a tele through a Deluxe Reverb so he didn't want anything to bright. The LPB is a very dark boost so putting it in front of the TS sounds killer. You get more distortion plus more clarity if such a thing is possible. It's like running through two amps, one dirty and one clean. Time to build one for myself now...

hope this link works... heres my first attempt at a swirl box. im not entirely pleased with the swirl but i still love it.
also my first box that worked first shot, i took a lot more time than i usually do.

Mugshot

it is only until now that i noticed that the pic i posted was not of the Phase 90 i built (with the help of a good friend) but of my board from last year (and yeah those Behringers are sick, they refuse to die!  ;D). well here is the Phase 90 clone,

and this one's a Slow Gear,

i am what i am, so are you.

Arn C.

How do you like the sound of the slow gear sean?

Peace!

Very classy looking.  In a semi-destructed way.  I like.  I'm currently building my first Screamer.  I've never even actually used or heard one in person.  If I can say that on here.

(no disrespect to those yellow heads!)

Kearns892

That is very clever for a logo design, love it.

Gila_Crisis

my last build: an analog Octaver with up/down octave (the -1 comes from the boss oc2 and the +1 is the one found in the EH micro synth)
