Bottom on a Klon I take it?  ;D  Nice box for that one

Yes.  I made that one for a buddy, because he's given me some great deals on gear over the past couple years, and let me borrow an amp of his for several months.  I believe the box is a 1790NS.  It's rather large, but that extra space allows for a nice neat layout, rather than just having to cram everything into a 1590B.

Guess what this is ...

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

It's not fair, since you already know!
I did have to 'add' some traces to my original tiny layout. I forgot a few during downscaling.
My micro delay will have the same issue, as did my micro phaser and micro trem  :icon_mrgreen:

VOX V809 Repeat Percussion

First etching - Toner on gloss paper, iron on. Filled in lightly toned areas with my etch resist pen - but, apparently, etch resist pen does not work on aluminum, which confounds me. So, it's a little grungier than I was going for, but I am fine with that!

For those who don't know, the effect is sort of like a tremolo/echo. The oscillator for the trem is pulse, and each pulse is shaped in the same way as a pick attack on a guitar. So if you leave a note ringing, instead of ringing, it makes it sound like you keep hitting the note, on every pulse of the oscillator. It's a really neat sound - Spacemen 3 used repeat percussion heavily. Slightly modded from schematic - it has the depth mod, but the pot used for it is 100K instead of 10K to give it more of a range. I also gave it a bit more gain so it can function as a boost pedal as well - it colors your tone a bit, in a nice way. LED shows speed when effect is engaged.

Needs a battery holder, I know. I tried making my pedal cleaner this time around, and it gave me ALOT of extra room! CB is attached to the switch.

Looks great. I really like the distressed/corroded effect.

I've built several stompboxes but the pictures were posted in other threads. I can't believe this is my first time posting here. Anyway, here is my latest baby.

It's a Phase90 with an added Leslie style ramp-up/down LFO by R.G. No LFO, either one of the LFO's or both LFO can be used. Below are some of the details.

Top row knobs:
1)Wet Level
2)Stock Phase 90 LFO Speed
3)Width
4)Feedback

Toggle Switches:
1)Stock Phase 90 LFO On/Off
2)Univibe Switch
3)Ramp-Up/Down LFO On/Off

Bottom row knobs. Basically the controls of the Ramp-Up/Down LFO.
1)Ramp Speed
2)Hi Speed
3)Lo Speed

Footswitches:
1)Ramp Up/Down
2)Bypass

shadowmaster...how do you get those nice looking trade cuts??

Where did you get that battery holder? The ones I bought from Mouser are too tall to fit into the B-size shells I use...

The French connection

I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

With a drill bit i guess...

Yup! I just used a drill bit although recently I just bought a stripboard cutter but haven't used it yet.

Did you check out the battery holder at smallbear?

Hi
Looks even better this way, hard to get something look authentically "reliced".
BTW have you a schematics and/or a layout for this effect it seems like a fun build in contrast to all distortion pedals. searched here but found zero.

EDIT:
Mr Google had the answer as so many times before i hope is this the schematics you used???

What trannies/ FET did you use???

There it is. It's a really neat sound - you really should try it out. It needs a unijunction transistor though - it lets you get that pick attack wave shape real easily. I got a handful of them (2N2646's) from ebay.

For the LED to pulse with the speed, I just buffered the oscillator's signal on the middle pin of the unijunction transistor with a LM741, and then controlled the led on/off with a rat bypass setup.

EDIT: I thought you would find it! I used a 2n3904 and a 2n2222 for the transistors, I forgot which ones I put where. And thats not a FET. It's a unijunction transistor - a unique type of semiconductor - it has two bases and one emitter. I used the same as listed, a 2n2646. I dont know if they still make them...? Might have to get NOS like I did.

EDIT 2: Yeah - on mouser, there's a replacement for the 2n2646 but they go for $6.00 apiece!! I got six of them or something on ebay for about 3 bucks.

If you want to try - I can take a pic of the oscillation signal at the base of the modulation transistor on my scope and you can try to replicate it with a different oscillator..?

Tnx, Il try to hunt it down trough my "NOS source" or EBay. I'm not really sure I got the  LED pulsing setup do you mean from E> Pin 3 then take the Cathode on the LED to pin 6 and switch LED anode+ ROhm On/of on the stompswitch?? any Chan's of a schem??

//Solderman

EDIT: Found the 2n2646 for a OK price at Banzai http://www.banzaieffects.com/2N2646-pr-16504.html

EDIT: Think I found one who has taken this one Commercial and beaten me to put it in a 1590A box :o :o
