Phase 90

What are your three (I assume you have left Speed there :icon_mrgreen:) additional pots about? Feedback? Mix? Volume? :)

Mix, Speed, Depth and Feedback. All info to be found on BYOC board. Fully loaded phaser was the term to look for, I believe.

Yes it is.  I did it much like the light emitting border that some pedals around here have.  Basically I dremeled a slot out, cut a piece of plexiglass to fit, epoxied it in, and sanded it smooth.  It took some work but i think it's a nice touch.  the hardest part was getting the LED's to light up the plexi evenly. (thanks to theehman for the perfect knobs  ;))

Nice work! Those 6418 look similar to 5672. Are they microphonic?

Thanks Renegadrian for the kind words!  I'll work on some sound clips for ya.

Rick, Yes they are VERY microphonic.  Just a little tap and it rings for about 30 seconds, which is why I have to use a tactile switch w/ relay.  The regular 3PDT stomp was too clanky.

I really like the insert loop because the insert jack is bypassed along with the effect ckt, so I can pop in an eq, phase shifter etc and bypass all the effects w/ one stomp!  I'm sure it's not new to put one of these in a stomp box but I got this idea from my Mackie 1642 mixer board which has an insert loop for compressors etc on every channel strip and thought that this concept would be very handy on this little effect box.

Thanks Krister,  I got the box in Japan when I was there in October.  From this place in Akiabara:
I bought it for a mini tube project.

Rubbish bad lighting Pedalboard shot.

Sody54

Not a pedal but I did learn quite a bit messing with this.  It's a mid 60's Silvertone organ amp that I converted over to a guitar amp.   I believe it's about 5W.  I housed it in a recycled Peavey Special 112 cabinet.  Switched it over to a grounded EIC style power cord, moved all the controls to the front panel from the 12-pin pigtail they ran into from the organ.  My brother cut me a face plate form aluminum diamond plate.  The grill cloth was changed out from the Peavey black to the wheat colored stuff that I salvaged from the organ.  Speaker is the stock Peavey that's in the Special 112.  Future plans are to put a tone control in and get the vibrato working.  It's built into the chassis and worked on the organ, but I haven't gotten it working yet on the amp itself.

Back shot.  Powered by (1) 12AX7, (1) 12AT7, and (2) 6GK6 tubes.

And a gratuitous gut shot.  All point to point.  Makes it hard to follow and learn from, but...
This shot is before I started moving contrals and added the grounded power source.

Thanks to everybody that helped me out on this!!!!  I really appreciate it!

4th Build.  No problems with this one.  It's a stock Box of Rock using the Madbean Krankosaurus Board.  I made one substitution, an A100k volume pot for the stock B100k.  Smoother Taper.  Very Nice.  Got the enclosure from PPP at the same time as the OCD I made a few days ago.  Blue Starlight.  I actually finished it last night, but I needed to wait for a Bezel to arrive via effectsconnection today.  No battery in this one.  Theoretically, I could fit one but I'd have to get the board to sit .5 cm higher, and that would have been tough with the jacks.  I don't use batteries anyway.

I designed the layout to match my Ego Driver/OCD build, complimentary colors, matching LED's, symmetry.
From top left, clockwise, Level, Drive, Tone, Boost.  Overdrive is right stomp, Boost is left.  I was a little worried about the bass being too powerful, from what I've read of peoples complaints, but I'm happy to say that I prefer the lower gain settings anywhere, where you would want more bass.  It does a great job of taking my little 12" Blues Jr. and changing the character to something more like a Low Gain Marshall or Vox.  Enjoy.

Nothing too elaborate, just a mk2 little gem.

Enclosure is a old speaker box for a CD player. Perfect for a small travel amp.

Hi all
I have built some new ones and re built one. I sold the first PH 45 and built a new.

This is the Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. It's a two channel distortion built around a 4049 sort of a a heavily modded ROG double D.

This is the Viper Z. Its a modded ROG Thor with the bass switch always on a bit modded in the tone and with the bright swith left. A realy good treble booster at low dist level.

This is the Percussion A square wave tremolo
See this tread http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=75372.msg617951#msg617951

This is the Never Mind. Its a stock Zombie Chorus
